Also, again, this isn’t my opinion, this is fact documented in published statistical documents.

For a vast majority of hunters in america, it is not economically viable. Thats a fact and the point I am trying to make with this conversation. The average american is not like you.

Uh… I AM talking about the entire country. I don’t have to look up how many licenses were sold. I know because this is what I do. About 15 mil were sold last year. That is around 4% of the american population. You aren’t the majority.

Im not trying to spin anything. Its factual. Game management is literally what I’m in college for.

That is so incredibly far from true. Less than 4% of Americans hunt so you can only imagine what percent of Americans are RELYING on hunting to put food on their table. Hunting is a declining sport. You are far from the majority.

Again, that makes you part of a very small percentage of people. For 99% of people hunting is not cheaper making this argument you are putting out there not valuable to the opposing side.

Economically and statistically speaking, the costs of hunting and fishing far outweighs the income as prices continue to climb.

If you break down costs on both sides and you truly are spending less on meat by hunting you are part of a very small percentage of hunters. Typically hunters spend WAY more hunting for meat than they would just buying from the store. This factors in licenses, ammunition, firearms, etc.

I don’t agree with this person, but I will say no one “hunts for food” anymore. The supplies and equipment for hunting is far more expensive and time consuming than a grocery store run today so this argument isn’t particularly viable.

I hate that hunting is no longer a sport. We need more policy to protect our wildlife from this depraved behavior. Dogs should have very limited roles in hunting.

No, hunting is a great population management tool. There needs to be more control on HOW hunting is done.
