A giant middle finger to the studio for how it's treated the people who worked so hard on Dragon Age over the last few years and a second one in particular for how it treated everyone who got caught up in the layoffs/reassignments today and hid behind calling it being 'agile'.

People taking the Joplin CONCEPT ART and creating a story from it is cute, but this is game design at the end of the day - game design under EA for that matter lol. BioWare devs fought hard for what he have now and I am so thankful and satisfied.

Video game characters are not actually real. They don’t bleed, they can’t get their feelings hurt, they can’t be betrayed because they are a collection of pixels and code and words and sound files. The game devs I’m lucky to work with are real people who deserve at least basic human respect.

okay! I fucking love The Veilguard for what it is. And forever will. But! I have a main critique that I think affects EVERYTHING in the game - scope. Hey, not without the 10 year gap and lore drop the developers had to grapple with this continuation of the story. But I can’t help but wonder… (1/2)
