FLCL is one of my all time faves! I went pottery painting with some friends (at TBD Pottery in PO) a few months ago and saw that they had a Vespa pot (mug???). Of course, I knew exactly what needed to be done.

Well, I certainly got most of it! Still some stragglers around, and the lumber cart is getting pretty full and harder to move. But OH BOY is it nice to see the space get cleaner. No more giant messy wood pile!

Since the heat is being moved into the water, this cools the room. Which is great for the computer equipment! Heat pump wants heat. Electronics need to get rid of heat. Win-win!

Fair question! A warmer room is more efficient. Heat pumps move heat. In this case, from the air in the room to the water in the tank. So the more heat available in the air, the less the heat pump has to work to collect enough to get the water up to the desired temperature.

Fun fact: I put my "homelab" in the same room as my heat pump water heater. I will also soon be venting the exhaust from my desktop PC into that room as well.
