tRump vs. Constitution again: "The First Amendment right to peaceably assemble protects our right to gather together and/or protest on public property. The right to petition the government for a redress of grievances means the public is entitled to have their issues heard by the government."

Free Speech? according to FW Vance (FuckWit) we don’t have it.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've just signed "Marks & Spencer - stop advertising on GB News" - Will you support the campaign too? actionstorm.org/petitions/ma... @StopFundingHate

Today is an object lesson in the radicalisation of the British right-wing press. Britain is being disparaged and insulted by a foreign far-right conspiracy theorist. But the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph and even the Times choose focus their criticisism on the British prime minister instead.

This is important & necessary. I’d add only that a) It’s clear many of the political & media figures deliberately ignoring these facts are playing with the sort of fire we saw on our streets this summer & b) Laura Kuenssberg’s failure to point this out to Farage was an appalling dereliction of duty.

The far-right is rising across Europe, but we're seeing early tentative signs that they can be frozen out of power. What's required is an absolute refusal from decent people on the centre-right to work with them inews.co.uk/opinion/nige...

As usual, I’ve nicked this from somewhere else. Sorry

I dont think a lot of people realise how utterly dangerous he is. Starmer needs to stop being so bloody passive about it all. Personally I think its terrifying

Nigel Farage continues to spout his boll**** unchallenged the UK must leave the ECHR If we want to avoid a dangerous chain of events which could one day see Britain joining Russia & Belarus as the only European countries outside the ECHR we need to constantly call him out youtu.be/iSTN-h8NoyY?...

“Trump falsely claims Biden admin’s decisions to allow Ukraine to launch US ATACMS into Russian territory led to North Koreans being deployed to Russia, entering the war. But Pyongyang sent 11,000 troops to Russia a month earlier. In fact, part of Biden’s reasoning was North Korea foray into war.”

In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services. Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt. While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant per person of £10tn. That's how privatisation 'works'.

Just look at this clip… 1st half: Annunziata Rees-Mogg telling me I’m making stuff up about her brother 2nd half: Her brother proving me right So sick of the gaslighting.

🔥 "The economic cost of Brexit, reliably estimated at around 5% of GDP and with a total loss to government coffers by 2035 of over £300bn, is unlikely to be offset by attempting to ‘make Brexit work’ – a slogan which rather confirms that it hasn’t."

This is not just a warehouse. This is an M&S, Brexit clusterf*ck warehouse.

CPTPP membership is going to be so “amazing” that Rishi Sunak’s government predicted it would grow the economy by a tiny 0.08% (it later emerged that even that may be an overestimate) and that was after 15 years of membership! Contrast 4% loss of GDP due to Brexit youtu.be/FR4m8rop98E?...

Farage - “What I do know is that Elon Musk is very supportive of me & what I’m trying to do, & he thinks that if Reform do well in the UK, we can bring about the same kind of change that he intends to do with Donald Trump in America” Absolute boll**** to that bylinetimes.com/2024/12/12/a...

A majority of Brexit supporters now want to accept free movement in exchange for a return to the single market. Will this finally rid Labour of its Brexit bogeyman? East Anglia Bylines’ acerbic political diarist, Pecksniff, asks this and other thorny questions.

Thames Water plans to double bonuses for its executive staff despite a 40% increase in pollution incidents and spills during the first half of the year to 30 September.

📣 The media’s dangerous embrace of Farage: a critical look at BBC’s Question Time The BBC’s platforming of Nigel Farage on Question Time promotes divisive and misleading rhetoric, distorting the debate on immigration By Dr Russell Jackson

Remember all the outraged coverage about a handful of climate protesters slowing ambulances a few years back? Well it turns out that wealthy farmers doing exactly the same thing on a much bigger scale is absolutely fine bylinetimes.com/2024/12/12/t...

Stodgy dullwit, David Frost, tells business owners that their struggles with the latest Brexit-red-tape-shitshow are the EU’s fault (rather than the woeful mess he cooked up with Johnson to get him into power). He just lies to their faces, saying this is why we left. New level of loathing unlocked.

Serious traffic issues at the centre of London AGAIN today. Hoping the perpetrators are treated the same as the ‘Just Stop Oil’ protestors. Serious disruption for a far lesser cause! 6 years imprisonment. We will not be happy with less. Two-tier policing🤔 www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Why are they all so painfully mince thick? They should gather together all the Reform Party members and voters and see if they form an orderly IQ

Border blunder: French pupils denied entry to the UK by British officials due to a trivial post-Brexit form error. 500-mile trip wasted, tourism lost, and goodwill gone. Sad for those kids and so frustrating. Is this really what the UK voted for?

💥Our scandalous spending tracker is back in the news!💥 The £131 billion wasted by the Tories since 2019 could have: - Funded £28bn a year of green projects - Kept the winter fuel allowance - Nationalised UK energy supply - Lifted the 2-child benefit cap until 2063 www.bigissue.com/news/social-...

Child Poverty % (children living in households below the minimum wage) Denmark 2.4% Finland 3.2% Norway 3.6% Sweden 3.6% The UK 32.1% All four of those countries have child benefits, paid by taxing the rich, that make it almost impossible for a child to be in poverty.

Who knows whether our drinking water is safe? www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2024/12... There are apparently no labs left in the UK that can test the quality of our drinking water. The consequence is obvious. Who knows if we are now drinking the shit we know is in our rivers?

Really good - and important - analysis from @jonathanfreedland.bsky.social

“Trump won’t be any easier to work with this time around. If anything, it will be worse. World leaders should prepare for a US govt that is less stable, less predictable and, most likely, less amenable to diplomacy and compromise.” Yes. The fawning can stop. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Which means they were inefficient, avoidably brutal AND more expensive. As was predicted.

Completely normal emotional response to a bit of light-hearted political satire. Not at all deeply sinister or totally deranged and absolutely NOTHING like 1930s Germany in any form. Glad I’ve cleared that up.

@wycombewanderers.bsky.social anything to say about today’s game ? Post on here please. Trying to get off Twitter !!
