nominally “liberal” mainstream media is now running cover for an out and about fascist. these are dark times we are living in and we truly cannot rely on these fascist sympathizers anymore

Congratulations to Ichiro on being elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame! イチローさん、米国野球殿堂入りおめでとうございます!

Ichiro (last name not needed!)—first ballot Hall of Famer, one vote off of unanimous. First Asian player in Cooperstown. So deserved. A fantastic player and human, and one of the most fun people to watch on the field, even when he was on the opposing team.

Upon Ichiro Suzuki's U.S. arrival, there were doubts. He was dismissed as “a fourth outfielder on a major league team,” and “a little slap hitter." How Ichiro silenced early skeptics on his way to Cooperstown ⤵️ www.nytimes.com/athletic/607...

Ichiro is Baseball. ⚾️ At last year’s Mariners Spring Training, Ichiro showed up unannounced, by himself & casually did his thing. When I asked why he was there, a Mariners staffer shrugged: “Oh, he just shows up whenever he wants.” There were maybe 3 people watching.

Congratulations to Seattle's own Ichiro Suzuki on joining the Baseball Hall of Fame. Go Mariners! www.seattletimes.com/sports/marin...

Some excellent opportunities for the business today… and then the power went out. No internet. I gotta get more stuff to the cloud. Desktop is useless without internet. Just rural business problems. #myfoundersstory

I think Bluesky is a great platform and I’m here to stay. However, a bookmark function would make the experience SO much better and much more functional for research/ information gathering, especially for reporters. Pretty please @support.bsky.team @bsky.app ?

Enjoying some quality down time here on the Olympic Peninsula with family. I’m hoping everyone is getting a nice respite from the daily grind. Amazing food. Serene setting. Comfy. Cozy.

Marco’s Cafe in Multnomah Village don’t play. Order came out in minutes. Pretty full restaurant too! Fairly classic Americana. Solid 7/10. Bit pricey but good stuff.

Visiting Portland as my middle child has an OHSU Children’s. Corporate America #lumbersexualizing is fascinating. In room coffee is no bueno. Porter (Hilton) coffee shop isn’t open. End up at “Press Release Coffee”. There because open and nearby. It’s in the Marriott 🤣

Catquake?

Finally got to do the new Pike’s Place climb. Such a beautiful day for it as well.

Geno Smith said “I was smiling on that last drive.” Said didn’t feel pressure at all in that moment.

First try at Spandauer. So bueno!
