Well said. The "at least Putin ain't woke" line might do a hell of a lot less damage than what Russia have been throwing at Ukraine over the last three years but it's still tactical, still an assault. "Quips" like this lay the groundwork for Putin.

Putin isn’t some hypothetical baddie, he is a dictator currently waging a war of aggression on a British ally. you shouldn’t be able to bank the clicks and the attention from saying you’d prefer him to our current centrist Prime Minister without also paying the consequences of holding that view.
