It's been a weird year for football.
Just under 10 years ago, I watched my Browns follow up a 1-15 year with an 0-16 year, but I feel like the team this year is worse than either of those years.
I don't follow Bears much, but the parts of their games I saw this year were also ... well, bad.

I think the problem with "soulslike" is that the difficulty is what came to define the genre, but the original Souls games were as built on deep lore and world building too. It's only there if you dig for it, but it's there in buckets.
That's what makes From's games so engrossing to me.

What helps make me feel better is the fact that the "always red" Ohio is always like 48.3‰ vs 48.0 ‰ *even with* the despicable gerrymandering.
It's not overwhelming. The people here are largely good.

I was listening to a lecture while my daughter was in dance class, and had an epiphany.
Regardless of how this thing goes, the people around us tomorrow are the same people around us today.
Maybe those who hate us get a new tool, but we'll still have each other.
