It's so hard to be a displaced oppressor. If they can't have an imaginary authority created at gunpoint by their ancestors, what do they have? Poor souls. #sarc

Probably the only time in my life I've ever enjoyed watching a couple publicly fight on social media.

It may be my own personal bias but double tails...

Seems reasonable and totally normal. I hear it happens a lot, mostly due to the nature of the relationship. Someone is actively paying attention and providing comfort and care, if it's not something you're used to it can get .. emotionally intoxicating. 😁

MMO space is rough. I had a similar feeling with Dragon Quest Builders 2. You could put your zone up for review and people could vote. #relatablefeels

I signed up for palia in hopes to get you the referral credit. But I haven't really played

The most we need is curators to bring all those tools that we already use into one location to make them easier... This sounds like they're trying to replace all those tools with something. Shittier

Everything that they're saying the AI does most of us GMS have already been doing for decades. Whether it be using random tables out of books to roll names and locations and races... Whether we have jotted down a dozen different story element notes on paper... Quest doesn't add anything

I love their definition of what Trump derangement syndrome is... Basically saying that: The sheer audacity to criticize Donald J Trump for anything, must be the sign of the mental illness. Can you imagine having that much of an ego? To think that people criticizing you must be sick in the head

So they finally figured out DOGE is a scam? These guys are like 4 months behind...

The layman has to cite the expert as the layman will never know more. Because if the layman ever knew as much as the expert, then they would be the expert. Most influencers are just layman. Which is perfectly fine, they just need to stop trying to pretend they're not.

Sometimes you say "no guns" and the players come up with WAY worst. Lol. There have been times I've allowed firearms in a setting as a way to focus the player into something more.. manageable, then the war crimes they come up with.

Oh, and at 3 years Facebook was at 20 million. Bluesky is fine

As a reference, Blue sky has only been public for a little over a year (Feb '24) and has 30 million users(ish). And it took 3 years before Twitter hit >18 million (ish) users.
comment in response to post
Honestly it's not dying, it is still growing. The "Blue sky is dying" folks are either trolls, trying to push people back to the larger platforms, or they don't understand that A new social media platform will not have the same user count as an established platform, and will take years to build.

The Internet seems really a buzz with some Doctor Who news I'm trying to avoid... ....But I can see why everyone is losing their shit and how it's punching through anyway.

It's still amazing that they're still pushing the lie that the Mueller investigation "found nothing". When even at the hearing about the investigation he said there was enough evidence that they could prosecute. So they claimed innocence due to lack of prosecution not lack of evidence.

The worst part for me is the fact that I really do believe that a database of people's data would be vitally important for people and lead to a lot of good things... But I do not trust this current Administration to not fuck this up and make it worse for everybody.
comment in response to post
If it wasn't for this Administration, I would very clearly be advocating for the fact that they can't legally do that Firing recently unionized workers as retaliatory action. That is a federal crime... But this admin already ensured that nobody can answer the phones in the bureau of Labor...

That just looks like mass-produced garbage. That tends to be the nature of the beast - the cheapest ingredient gets the largest portion. Maintaining profit margins through portion control. 😁

See not a problem for me. As I am currently using a tiny snowman as my profile pic, I do that because I already look like an idiot. Lol

Oh yeah I saw your post about those. Definitely let me know if they work, they're in the right price range for the 13-year-old son. So if they work they're well within the he can lose these and I can replace these

...administration, is that it will do horrible things. There is no longer a window of doubt. Some people went into the election with the idea that "no, he wouldn't possibly do those horrible things he's talking about it's just rhetoric." But now we know that was hopeful optimism.

There has to be a point where we all stop pretending that things are normal and that we can just go about our day. If the big beautiful budget Bill passes, it contains riders that will make everything up to this point seem mild and controlled. If we've learned anything so far from this...

That's fair. I have the pixel buds 2, they have a noise dampener that takes the high pitch out of it and it makes things more tolerable. (sound sensitivity, likely because I'm spicy) With some white noise everything just disappears. We also haven't found good plugs.

Shitty parent "how dare you tell me how to raise my kids!" Reasonable person: "How about you fucking do it so I don't have to."
comment in response to post
Yep. Shitty people make shitty kids. I just wish they would stop inconveniencing the rest of us.
comment in response to post
Nobody gets trained on how to raise children, which honestly we should be teaching childhood development to everybody... But I do agree in general, shitty kids come from shitty parents. And how those parents are shitty can be wildly different.
comment in response to post
It's not a generational thing. It's really just a cultural and household thing. A lot of millennial children were raised under the behaviorism which is a lot of. "Don't do that. I'm hitting you because you deserve it." Style of parenting And so they're making a hard swing the other way..

MARINGUE lemon Pie?
comment in response to post
And as a follow-up... If the kids aren't well behaved enough to be respectful to other people in public then the parents don't get to go out in public with their children. Not raising your children to be respectful to others is a penalty on parent's time, not on everyone else's.
comment in response to post
So I'm a parent of three kids who have never been a problem out in public. The public behavior of children is directly related to the parents. As silly as it may be, children are rarely in control of their own actions and work predominantly on impulse. Teaching impulse control is the parents job

John Leguizamo made a great Luigi... Bob hoskins was wonderful... And the goombas felt threatening, and comical. Hard mix to get right

On TV, they shout about 'civility' but away from public eyes they cheer for barbarism... The worst of us, the weakest, and most cowardly... Seeking validation in violent defense from those that would do them no harm. Driven by fear, festering to hate, and all of it because they are scared.

GOP science: the confirmation bias infused pseudoscience that they're going to insist that everybody follows as foundational truth despite all the evidence to the contrary.
