I'm not sure about multiple teams but would be good if we could overtake them at their place in May.

If Botman is fit he has to start, BDB looks like he needs a rest

Because he's not good or unattainable?

Lol. If Sandro was a Sandra this would be it.

Asa bald man, it's obscene.

Sandra is immense, he's just a natural footballer.

I love Joe as footballer, he's got everything I like in a player, hope his injuries are behind him.

£50m when playing against everyone else, £2.50 when playing against Isak.

Got to be, I'd like to think no-one from round here would behave like that

Surely these people are traceable, needs locking up.

What is wrong with these people.
comment in response to

That can't be from an NUFC fan surely, they must be traceable.

Is that for real?

Ok so that another £150m please.

It's hardly a coup to decide to employ someone who would have tendered for the work!

After Saturday I had a feeling we'd get Spurs in the Final and they'd turn us over, revenge and all that.
comment in response to

That's some paranoia there!

I'm sure I read that there are no further suspensions beyond those issued at the quarter final stage.

Shows what football has become, Joey is mildly aggressive but is deemed a monster by spurs fans, God knows how they'd get on with someone like Souness these days.

Arrogant lot, always have been.

Why did we actually buy him, did he have any data that would point to him being worth a punt?
comment in response to

Not sure about that, they took Gazza and Waddler before their prime. Kevin Scott I'll give you 😊

Saw one TH fan jumping in on a thread this morning about Isak saying he'll want to join a big club like them. Deluded.

Whoever wrote that needs to learn the basics of accounting before writing such drivel.

Yes with our luck we'll get Liverpool away both legs 😁

He was on a booking, got a game on Wednesday and had Barnes wanting to prove something against his old club, shouldn't be too difficult to understand the rationale behind the substitution. Surely it's about the team not individuals.

Great BBC documentary on it as well.

Agree with this, we're in danger of over hyping him. He gets a lot protection from Joelinton and he lacks a yard of pace. He's got massive potential but he needs time to develop before having a huge amount of pressure put on him.
comment in response to
post
Apparently it was Ashworth who went all out to get him, credit where credits due if that's the case.
comment in response to
post
He was on a booking, guess that was on Howes mind, plus letting Barnes play against his old club

Thought the same, it's as if they hadn't watched previous games. Something tells me Van Nistelrooy won't survive the season.

Considering his background and how he got to the top I have the utmost respect for Callum, those dissing him for something out of his control or wishes are idiots.

Hmmm depends who was in the ambulance, their angle could be "ambulances carrying migrants to hospital, taking up real British peoples beds, disrupt poor farmers protest"

I think Mitchell will bring a more rationale approach to recruitment, both purchases and sales.
comment in response to

I'd love it if Ashworth was pushing Southgate as the new manager so got to told to do one.

Yes there's concerns but I think there's bigger issues at play than whether EH is the best manager for us going forward. The PSR issue is killing us and Staveley needs to take a lot of blame for that, and setting unrealistic aspirations. Squad age and composition is not right.
comment in response to

Recruitment in summer 2023 was a disaster in the end, and 2024 even worse. There's a lot riding on Mitchell for summer 2025. The progression of the club is dependent on that, not whether EH is the manager.

Doesn't answer the question, who was the last PL club to improve year on year without investment. There's plenty who have gone backwards with and without investment, none I can think of who have improved.

How many managers improve their team year on year without investment?

It takes time. Recruiting the right CEO, not just anyone, could take 6 months+.
From board level there was a widely reported event at stack 2 weeks ago
Growing income to top 4 levels will take years.
PIF invested for the long term, not 3 or 4 years but 20 years+. May not suit every fans agenda.
comment in response to

Over achieving every year is impossible. We need to grow income, pay higher wages, improve the squad. None of that is in the gift of the manager.
comment in response to
post
We have a current CEO who has cancer; recruiting a replacement.
Biggest commercial income in our history.
Ensuring stadium decision is fully considered for next 50 years to ensure finding from owners
There's 20 PL clubs with majority decisions ruling.
Aging squad that needs replacing.
Could go on.
comment in response to
post
We're 7th in the income league and 8th in terms if wages, we over achieved in 22-23, par in 23-24 and there's 6 months to go this season. Over react if you want, I'm not.
comment in response to

If you judged a manager on the last 10 games you'd be Watford. Top clubs don't do that.
comment in response to

What was that stat about points won since EH was appointed, does he have the third highest? Presumably you'd want to go for the two managers better than him?
Every team needs to go through a transformation and we're at that point, it's the players that need upgrading not the manager.
