BREAKING 🚨 🚨 🚨 Pentagon’s ā€˜SWAT team of nerds’ resigns en masse Employees of a defense tech unit say they were sidelined by DOGE. ā€œEither we die quickly or we die slowly,ā€ says the director. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

Reminders: "Concentration camps" aren't the same as "extermination camps." Both were/are horrific. Most Nazi camps were *outside Germany*, away from the eyes of German citizens. Those trains? Were to, uh, deport the category of people whose lives were deemed unimportant. Never again is now.

Trump to Bukele on Salvadoran concentration camps: ā€œHome-growns are next. You’re going to have to build about five more places.ā€

This is what judges should be doing right now. If the Trump administration is going to insist that it can’t bring back anyone once they’re removed, then federal judges should put the brakes on any and all removals until the *full* legal process—to ensure the removals are valid—has run its course.

It certainly looks like Elon Musk’s henchmen stole all the data from the agency which protects workers rights, tried to cover it up, and then threatened to kill the guy who blew the whistle on it.

Abraham Lincoln and his wife attended the theater 160 years ago this evening.

Seems like a good day to remind everyone that Auschwitz — a complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps — was not located in Nazi Germany either.

On this day, April 14, 2025, the President of the United States openly defied the Supreme Court’s unanimous opinion of April 10, 2025, ordering him to ā€œfacilitate Abrego Garcia’s release from custody in El Salvador

Why would anyone choose to go to Columbia now? ā€œColumbia University: We Roll Over For Fascistsā€

the only way kidnapping and illegally detaining lawful permanent residents (or citizens!) in foreign concentration camps "plays out" is we all live our lives under fascism or the fascists are jailed and many of them executed. that's it. read a fuckin book.

It’ll be a great time for a career in the trades.

"No one, apparently, is willing to prevent a single man from destroying the world economy, wrecking financial markets, forcing this country and other countries into recession if that’s what he feels like doing when he gets up tomorrow morning" www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

ā€œAt least I got to say slurs again,ā€ the finance guy who never stopped saying slurs thinks to himself as he opens his 37th story office window and looks at the sidewalk below.

Yes, it’s a bit hard to see now, but allowing the president to become a king who can kidnap citizens while also demolishing the global financial system is a small price to pay for getting to keeping 23 trans women from playing college sports.

Good morning. Today is the 80th day that the U.S. President is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarch can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors. It's the biggest scandal in the history of the Presidency.

ELECTION RESULT: A team of city council members in Rolla, Missouri, have been pushing anti-LGTB policies, including a ban on drag shows and book censorship. Voters just ousted all three of these city councilors who were running for reelection, backing candidates backed by a local LGBT group.

"what if the fuhrer was a manchild with daddy issues and is now sundowning": the america story

WARNER: Can you explain how it helps natl security or our trade balance - I loved your fancy Greek formula which was bad math on steroids - how with a trade surplus Australia got hit with a 10% tariff as well? GREER: Australia has the lowest rate available WARNER: We have a trade surplus!

I will quit my job and work for any candidate who promises to put the leadership of this administration in the same overseas gulag they've been shipping people to

Bates: He inherited an economy that was the best-performing in the world. But in just two months, he’s crashing that economy with the biggest tax increase on middle-class families in 50 years—raising the prices he promised he would lower, and breaking his number one promise to them.

The administration is a perfect storm of dumb people who enjoy inflicting pain and are addicted to psychotic cruelty and quadrupling down. It ends in total ruin if you don't impeach him.

"So Trump will impose these tariffs and sit back and wait for other world leaders to petition the king with their offerings that will ultimately expand his own power, all the while we are the collateral damage. We all get thrown under the bus; 350 million people suffer so that one man can benefit."

All I’m saying is that President Harris wouldn’t have us looking at the futures market on a Sunday night.

The consensus on Wall Street among savvy people paid millions to predict things was exactly what very low-information voters thought: "Trump can't mean what he says because that's ridiculous, what he'll really do is what I personally hope he does."

I don’t think people are paying enough attention to the fact that the North Carolina court of appeals just ruled that 65,000 votes don’t count, and that the Republican Supreme Court candidate who lost actually won. This will be appealed, but make no mistake: they’re trying to steal this election.

Absolutely incredible photo choice here. A+

glad to see him doing this. he specifically criticized the kidnapping of protestors too. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/04/u...

As markets melt down around the world, Congress could act right now to prevent an economic collapse before markets open on Monday. The only thing standing in the way is a few spineless Republicans.

Trump to big oil executives a year ago from Mar-a-Lago: "If you give me a billion dollars, I'll help you out."

Worst two-day stock market crashes in the U.S. by percentage loss: 1. 1929 (the Great Depression) 2. 1987 (Black Monday) 3. 2008 (the Great Recession) 4. YESTERDAY AND TODAY And while this happened, the man responsible for it was golfing and dining with enemies of America.

This is a great message tool. Make it go viral.

An entire generation of Americans just saw their retirement savings destroyed for no reason. And the President is golfing.

Boo fucking hoo

Interesting that Trump’s economic approval has fallen to basically the worst of his career and his overall approval is right around where it always is. Maybe the entire phenomenon isn’t actually about the economy? Or maybe there’s much further to fall if / when things get worse. We’re gonna find out

Oh my

The most important thing you must share today. Trump is destroying your life savings and ability to make a living for 1 reason: he wants to make us all beggars who bow to him, his donors and his family. Not sure why @chrismurphyct.bsky.social hasn’t posted this here but can’t be posted enough.

It appears this is the fourth worst back to back day for the DJIA in American history with a two day combined -8.65% loss, only trailing the 1929 crash, 1987 Black Monday, and the 2008 crisis.

The US stock market has now lost over $10 trillion in value since Trump’s inauguration.

The Netanyahu government has killed 50,000 people in Gaza & wounded 112,000. Two weeks ago, they broke the ceasefire and have since killed 322 children & wounded 600. The US must end its complicity. Tomorrow, I will force votes to block $8.8 billion in arm sales to Netanyahu.

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The Senate just PASSED a resolution to reverse Trump's disastrous tariffs on Canada. Now, it's on the House to listen to the desperate pleas of American businesses, farmers, and families who can't afford Trump's costly price hikes. Time to end this senseless trade war. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

If you have a Republican representing you in the House or Senate, call them to demand they undo Trump's tariffs. They're already shaken by the 20 point shift in Florida and the Wisconsin loss. You can fuel that feeling.
