This is why I say that toxic positivity and toxic negativity are two side of the same shitty coin.

I wish causal people (that aren’t diehard animation fans) would do the same, but their nostalgia always gets the better of them. They’ll just watch whatever the Disney brand brings them regardless of quality.

Mark Pett could’ve came up with a better title…
I was going to judge it from the title too but it turns out it’s based on a book so I’ll try to give it a chance.

I’m aware that they temporarily improved the lineup a couple times but it wasn’t even good enough that they aired more Nicktoons than the actual Nicktoon channel and even live action shows. Sorry for the ramblings, but it’s very clear that this channel is looking to be on its way out.

I know a lot of people will point out and say TeenNick literally died when Degrassi finished its run 10 years ago and there were no more actual teen shows that wasn’t a sitcom, but the day NickRewind died is the day TeenNick died. It’s basically the “Loud Danger Thundermans” channel now.

And then Christmas 2021 happened. They were originally going to air holiday specials of their classic shows, but Nick’s scheduling team had different plans and decided for the next month or so, the lineup got reduced to just Rugrats and ICarly (both shows that had a reboot & revival the same year)

Barring the obvious exceptions (the ongoing SpongeBob, KaBlam!, the never dying FOP franchise, and ATLA), they even aired Nicktoons library up until 2008, and they gave The Mighty B! (the youngest Nicktoon to air on the block) a few weekend marathons.

Reducing the block to only one hour was a sign that it was on its last legs.
Maybe it’s time to let CN end later than 4pm again. I hope it was worth adding three more hours of Adult Swim because “more adults watch tv than children”

It had so much potential but imho, it suffered way worse than The 90s Are All That/The Splat/NickRewind despite airing on a basic cable channel: its lineup consisted of just Dexter’s Lab, Courage, Eds, and Billy & Mandy with the occasional David Feiss/Evil con Carne/What a Cartoon short

It’ll help keep the account alive outside of anniversary posts and big events. So I might also post images that feature a Nick show cast/crew reunion for nostalgia’s sake.
That reminds me, I’m also thinking of bringing back old Nick forums posts so you can see how people thought of Nick back then
