How I knew I could never do long coffin nails. Trying to perform microsurgery on your eyeball with talons is a Time

I don’t understand when people are going to get that they don’t *care* if any human lives are hurt in any of this. Doesn’t matter from whence they spawned. They. Do. Not. Care

Repentance is possible and should always be. It also requires active *work*. And some of yall would let these people bypass that work entirely for the sake of building numbers

Bias note: my dad and I are no contact. HOWEVER. Cap men make good providers and will often show love as material gifts, if that’s what you value. Shadow sides of Cap tend to interact with patriarchy in a way that makes the men a bit megalomaniacal tho

In case you’re thinking what we did at first: no this upstanding citizen did not mix up a Manhattan and a martini. Just wanted olives with his bourbon and sweet vermouth. Serial killer shit

I think a lot of us are more attached to the convenience of these net negative systems than we’d like to admit. *AND ALSO* there are real reasons ppl cannot just opt out. We all make a thousand compromises every day in order to survive

And to the cheap factor: even in SF, I can snag a draft beer or whatever for like $7, and nurse that for an hour or so and charge my phone. And at spots where I became a regular, I have had bartenders who would pour me however much beer and wine I wanted at no cost (still tipped ofc)

And tbh there’s a social component of bars that a lot of these spots don’t have. Even if I’m not actively talking to ppl I like the lively flow of ambient humanity. You don’t get that at a coffeeshop where everyone’s taking meetings on their laptops

“Libraries” during the day, yes! Yet again, the hours factor for nightshift workers. Bookstores are open somewhat later but they’ve become actively hostile to casual readers who don’t want to buy books these days

Coffeeshops close early and tbh a lot of them are built to get you in and out as quickly as possible these days. The latter is more true for large chains but the time factor is true across the board. The exceptions being the two 24-hour diners that exist in SF

“Rae outside is free” it is! And I am frequently at the park in the summertime. However: even in California (NorCal specifically) winters exist and it becomes quite uncomfortable

I get why maybe the marketing strategy of borderline insane persistence is endearing and funny to some, it’s hella annoying to experience tbh. Like I will get to it when I get to it, calm down you are a pixel bird
