Truth be told, we dunno exactly how old he is—that lab looked like it had been destroyed for a good few years when we found the journal entry. He's at least in his 30s, if not 40s. But for how old he is to us folks in this world, you're right ^^

Fun fact: I ended up doing this digitally by my mom's suggestion. When I inked it the first time, I screwed up Mewtwo's eye. The second time (yay light desk thing!), I seriously fucked up Mew, as shown here. So I went digital to save the piece!
