Publishers love keycards, gets their games on store shelves at a minimal cost. I’d never get one of course, wouldn’t plan to sell one and it would just be annoying to effectively have a digital game that still requires me to insert the card. So I lose storage space and convenience. Dumb…

PS Portal is super good especially with a Premium subscription to cloud stream. Mileage may vary on your WiFi of course.

I wouldn’t rule it out, but unless Trump makes a bunch more enemies within his own inner circle I have doubts.

I suspect Elon overdoses at some point, no way he goes another 40 years.

Nah he’d be thrown in jail. Also who could he cut a deal with? The FBI is corrupt now and the DOJ. There’s nowhere to go except state leaders maybe?

This reminds me I still need to play Nioh 2.

I used to play that a long time ago.

Wonder if there’s some way of farming these points I’m not aware of. I buy tons of Nintendo stuff every year and only have like 300 platinum points.

Being aware and understanding there are people different from you is shockingly challenging for many.

Well that's worse than the misinformation lol....I'll continue to believe the lie until my Wii U dies so I don't stress about it.

Hope you kept your Wii U plugged in or randomly plugged it in periodically otherwise you may find it won't turn on anymore.

Same here, glad to see the good reviews as well!

But was it about getting deals or bringing manufacturing jobs back? Have no idea what they’re doing….

The fall of Tapper should be studied at journalism schools…

I blame Fox News and Russian Facebook bots.

Yeah I’m a big controller nerd on PC and the 8bitdo Pro or Ultimate are both great. Also really like the Vader 4 and Razer Wolverine.

Yeah right around that I’d guess. Headphone markups are insane too usually.

Are there any good third party controllers for Sony? Outside of fight sticks I don’t really see any.

The margins on these have to be craaaazy high.

Heck it's the entire business model of the Yakuza games.

I saw it coming sooner, so I am surprised it took this long.

But now with congress passing a provision allowing Trump to ignore the courts will any of this matter? I know still needs senate approval but frankly….they will probably allow it.

Same. Played the Wii one though but this version has been sitting on my shelf since it came out.

I just checked my copy of Diablo 3 which I got at launch of the game and it’s working fine. I don’t have Let’s Go Pikachu though.

That sucks I love Codemasters. Dirt 5 was so much fun.

Only if Nintendo dies one day. Even then an investor could swoop in and keep it going if there’s money in it.

It’s the perfect indie game machine or PS3 era PC games.

Some 3DS games had this issue too. There were production issues with Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire and the first Persona Q games causing them to fail. There could be a similar thing going on with some Switch carts maybe.
comment in response to

Nintendos games I’ll probably get physically, and any large file sized games that put the full game on cart like Cyberpunk is doing, otherwise I’ll probably do a lot more digital this time around.

This is $2.99 on Steam. I’m a big fan of physical but even I have my limits lol.

If the tracking wasn’t so different I feel more of these would have got ported over. Still why I have my psvr1 hooked up.

Well with Switch 2 having more horsepower I’m hopeful the performance will be better.
comment in response to

Hoping this new Rune Factory is good. 5 was good but the Switch performance was so atrocious, one of the worst ports imo. Still preordered this one I like the look of it.

I see no concern here. Emulation has existed forever and the only thing companies go after are emulators using proprietary code, and ROM hosting sites. I don’t see an increase in crackdowns over this unless they try some new legal angle they think will work.
comment in response to

Agreed but will there be a market for these at these prices? I dunno…especially if you’re not an enthusiast setting these up can be daunting for many.
comment in response to
post
Yeah these are roughly $50 to $75 more than usual. Strange they’re stocking the 556 and not 557 that just came out.
comment in response to

Well technically Square had a choice to use them or not. Nintendo giving them a choice was pressure from third parties wanting a solution to the problem of 1. High costs for the cards and 2. The need to be seen on store shelves. Sucks but that’s where we are…beats code in a box slightly.
comment in response to
post
Yep. I predict most publishers will choose keycards. Heck didn’t even LimitedRunGames choose keycards for their release of the new ShinMegami spinoff remake game? They got soooo much hate for that lol. Rightfully so, this is their 1 job after all.
comment in response to
post
Online preorders reflect us nutty hardcore gamers, casual shoppers who make up the majority of game sales haven’t walked by a Switch 2 isle yet. Also, the Marvelous games like Rune Factory aren’t best sellers yet despite not being keycards. Game popularity plays a role too.
comment in response to
post
I think most casual shoppers will not care or notice. In fact they’ll see it as a benefit that they can resell them unlike a digital purchase. The goal for third parties is to have their game be seen on store shelves, and this saves them money up front rather than spending a lot on big cards.

Update could simply just mean they will patch the game so it works on Switch 2, not that they’ll make substantial graphical improvements. But I’m with you I’d like to see them do that.
comment in response to

Normal. It's not that the game is hard or anything it just cranks up the level gatekeeping toward the end for some reason.
comment in response to
post
For me at this point tedium lol. First half of the game has great pacing and story, second half grinds to a halt lots of level checks.
