Finishing off a small fencing project at home today and I’m 1m short on the wire I need 🙃. I didn’t take into account the extra wire for tying off. Off to the store …

I read a bit of Curtis Yarvin’s so-called philosophy this week and what really struck me was the utter poverty of imagination and general incoherence of his ideas. His thinking is so unsophisticated and unimpressive it’s actually embarrassing. How the hell he became influential is beyond me.

I love those notebook worthy moments

Hi, hello. In order to grasp the significance of Trump crowning himself a King, you have to understand that he is literally carrying out a plan crafted by Curtis Yarvin, a right wing extremist, to overthrow democracy and replace it with dictatorial rule by a monarch-CEO.

Linked In is such a weird space. I really don't get it

Funny to watch them trying to dress this all up in legal garb to frustrate annoying Federal judges. Of course historically these sort of King-whisperer figures in a monarchical court, when the tide turned, simply got murdered. See also the Thermidorian Reaction of 1794.

Acts of simple sabotage, multiplied by thousands of citizen-saboteurs, can be an effective weapon against the enemy.

I've been able to brush off most of the erasure of trans people from government websites, but this one is REALLY getting under my skin. It's just complete revisionist history. How fucking dare they Old vs. new

I recommend this one. It’s a great little piece about the situation in the US. It lays out, clearly and simply, what the possible outcomes are at this point and how things might be resolved. www.liberalcurrents.com/is-it-a-coup/

It's not complicated. They're just trying to stop women from being able to vote.

This. I’m ready to throw hands in defence of Sam Kerr

We live close to a country train line, mostly freight but also passenger (x2 per day). We love our resident trains so much. I find them really comforting/grounding for some reason.

Radio National (multiple programs/hosts+guests today) really doing their best to try and brow-beat Sam Kerr even after she’s been found not guilty.

Good morning sky folk. It’s still dark and there’s a beautiful nearly full moon on the horizon this morning.

There are many, many places and languages in the world in which there is neither gendered names nor pronouns.

#OtD 10 Feb 1921, Peter Kropotkin's funeral procession began in the city of Dmitrov, Russia. His body was transported by train to Moscow where thousands of anarchists marched for hours in the last public demonstration of anarchists in Russia for decades. shop.workingclasshistory.com/...

Jumping back into the anthropology of personal names for a writing project. It always surprises me with how rich it is as a topic.

This is shameful and a huge step backwards. #NTpol www.abc.net.au/news/2025-02...
