Ty for the tip. I wasn't aware there were several pkg managers on Windows, i thought they were the same thing. Cheers!

(PS: `scoop install llvm` gives you a Clang toolchain for Windows which works out of the box and can compile Win32+DirectX apps - although I'm not sure if this requires a separate Windows SDK to be installed)

It's genuinely a great way to learn new skills, because it ensures you have that motive, that drive to continue working on the project. And if you ever decide to make a game, it sounds like you have 'collected' all the skills necessary to do so :D 13 years is a lot of time to hone them!

Followed, looking forward to it! One question though: How did you manage UDB not shitting itself on Linux? I can't even give it a directory as a resource, just crashes. Loaded a map at wrong time of day? Crashes. Sneezed in the next room? Crashes.

No one offered AOS shit. Literally the way we found out this show even exists is by disappointed people on BlueSky

The learned helplessness prevalent in indiedev always saddens me. AAA devs are not untouchable gods, they're given a big budget so they can work on 1 thing for a longer period of time. Otherwise, they're same as indies. They also learned as they go, made their own tech and improved it through games.

You don't know how to pilot that deck, even with your life at stake.
