A mixed bag this week. Sunshine was a solid sci-fi movie and I rewatched The Lighthouse which is one of my favorites. Maniac Cop 2 was more action oriented compared to the first, but not bad. A Complete Unknown is a generic biopic which does not deserve a best picture nomination.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! Time to post your #LastFourWatched 👋 Other than my rewatch of Jackie Brown it was a mediocre week. Air Force One was really stupid but entertaining, The Sandlot was kinda boring and Flow was nicely animated with a decent story but would’ve worked better as a short film.

People are so weird about The Criterion Collection. It's a boutique label. They distribute films they want. Sometimes they get a title, sometimes they don't! Sometimes they're classics, sometimes they're new! There are countless movies that will never be in it because someone else has the rights!
