Is this split on age lines though? I have awfully tactless and quite prejudiced acquaintances of all ages, just as I have wonderfully kind, curious, and compassionate ones of all ages.
I'm 70s vintage myself, yet I'm non-binary and many acronyms I won't irritate you further with.

I won't search for those other replies, doesn't sound like they'd improve my day. What I'll say without excusing rudeness is that some of us have had to have these conversations literally thousands of times. Sometimes people become tired, impatient and bad-tempered. Curiosity and empathy are better.

Well I'm old, but not old enough to say I was there in Chaucer's time. I guess if you like and respect your non-binary acquaintances you'll get there, if not it doesn't matter much what you think of each other.

Did you see the tips? I'd be interested to know how it goes when you try them.
If you only reply about what you didn't know before being told, as if that means it shouldn't exist, when you've clearly got internet search access, well that's a bit unsatisfying as a conversation tbh.
