What does it do to the media when you're not allowed to be a journalist unless you're able to pretend that this is a normal administration?
comment in response to post
Tweets are generally held to lower standards than opinion columns, not higher. If this was a news story, I might agree with you, but journalists are people with opinions and it does us all a disservice when we pretend they are not.

And journalists should not lose their job for having an opinion or speaking it. Our news media too often confuses fecklessness for objectivity.

The only way someone (a 25 year old!) can prevent you from "showing leadership" is if you've already failed.

Everything the DNC does makes sense if their main goal is to prevent the Overton window from moving left for the benefit of corporate donors.

Lol. You need to come up with another bad faith response for when nobody has mentioned Obama or Republicans.

Clinton shaped the corporate centrist Democrats, poll tested and feckless, who are unable to win now. Clinton accepted the Republican worldview, and now the Dems are unable to stand up against their donors.

I'm sorry you're having trouble following the conversation. You'll understand better if you don't put words in people's mouths. "Third Way" Democrats exchange long term solidarity for short term wins. Clinton got his Sister Soulja moment, and the scions of his legacy are abandoning trans people now

Or Biden for cajoling Democrats to do so.

This page was so confusing. 😅 I very nearly missed the disclaimer at the bottom. I use "centrist" as an epithet, and being in the FS's good graces is enough of a disqualifier.

Evergreen statement

• Police solve just 2% of all major crimes • One-third of all Americans killed by strangers are killed by police • 10,000 family dogs are killed by police every year (DOJ: "epidemic") • Bodycam Catches Planting Drugs (parents lost their children due to these) • Why the NYPD Costs $10 Billion a Year

Laughing at not responding to 911 calls ("officers discussing who will kill the dogs before they even arrive at the house") Mass murdering (one-third of murders by strangers!) Solving only 2% of crimes! Media's "centrist" editors (and conservative billionaires) still push "copaganda" narrative:

The smirk though. 🙄

Like what if they imagined for one moment that we are competent and reliable reporters of our experiences, including in our interactions, and were able to take that information to heart

Garland is an ineffectual centrist, but not a member of the Federalist Society. The fashlighting is all his fault and I agree with the rest of what you said though.

Or the guy who appointed him.

And we're paying the price now.

Capitalist USA is superior to communist China in every way, but also China is our main threat in every way but also that’s only because they picked up all their good ideas from capitalism, but also China is communist…

So… you’re saying that building a society around pro-social behaviors makes for a better, happier life for the average person?

Heist movie, but it's the polycule planning a surprise party.

She's aggrieved because the Democratic Party betrayed Joe Biden? That's....wow.

Maybe Kamala Harris lost because she was insufficiently vocal in her support for trans rights. Maybe not - but this hypothesis is superior to one that says she lost by showing too much support for trans rights because it at least engages with what Harris actually did and said during the campaign.

LOL. There is nothing the Democrats are better at than throwing minorities to the side.

I think the perfect microcosm of the Republican party is Herman Cain continuing to tweet in favor of Republican policies after he died of COVID.

Some people are locked into a narrative that says house fires are bad. We asked some arsonists and the truth is a little more complicated

OMG, I assumed that would be saved locally. Advertisers buying period tracking data is crazy too.

Tracking both of our macros for the beach this summer. 🤡

No, but you just made the point. There was public outcry at this picture, despite it being somewhere in the ball park of reasonable. Now they're doing worse every day with impunity.
