Today I grafted 20 new apple trees, so to me this mere stick is full of wonderful potential!

This is the best news I've heard in weeks! Yes, PLEASE, can we have unqualified, perhaps dangerously unqualified (🤞) people working on these planes? Please please please with sugar on top?

When I feel like this I just walk away. Inevitably in the next 24 hours, often right as I'm falling asleep, my brain finally figures out what needs to be done, if anything at all. Walk away. It will come to you!

You can stitch them together for blankets and clothing. I'm currently saving my squares for a blanket.

When I am having a terrible time, I cook. People feel loved when you make good food for them. I have a loaf of bread rising and we'll have it with homemade beef stew tonight. It's not much, but it's something I can actually do to have a positive impact.

Just seeing your reply. I spent the whole morning yesterday fiddling with different bark ideas, drawing patterns on the canvas, "okay this is going to be it!", got all the colors ready. Nah, not feeling it. Finally got the one that feels right, working on it today!

(A lot of experimentation was done in this rug, so much I would change today. But damn if I don't smile every time I see it!)
