I binge-watched it on a sick day a couple of weeks ago. Yay for a second season!

I have been convinced to watch. I've been under a rock lately, so only vaguely saw the name of the show, but knew nothing about it until now.

You were close! It's fugazza. The empanada place near us has that, too. Sooooo good, though I don't care for their crust much... the topping more than makes up for it.

Looking further into it, though, shows that it was stronger at the epicenter (USGS says 5.21), which was near one of my favorite mountain towns, Julian. I'm in central Orange County and we still felt it.

I'm in central Orange County,so not very strong here. Just a mild, long bout of shaking.

I adore empanadas. We have a place near us that is pretty good, but I'd rather drive about 30 minutes to The Empanada Place. They have better pastry. Cheese and caramelized onion is the most amazing thing ever.

I remember the days when we could see the air. I remember smog alerts and not being able to go outside for PE because the air was that unsafe. I also remember my first asthma attack when I was 12 years old. And I remember how much better my life was when we stopped being able to see the air.

My paternal lineage in the US goes back to the late 1600s. Maternal lineage goes back to 1910. This dude looks like a penis for sure.

Also, voter registration is handled by the states, not the federal government. This is also an infringement upon the constutionally granted powers of the states.

The drive to force voters to show proof of citizenship at the voting place is an attempt to suppress the votes of the exact people who need to be voting.

The reason this is a problem is that it can (and has) disenfranchise those who have had their documents go missing or destroyed and can't afford to have them reissued. This is especially hard on older voters on a fixed income.

When registering to vote, citizens give identifying information which is then checked by the registrar to ensure that all of the information fits and that this isn't a duplicate. In my county, new voters may be asked to show identification the first time they vote.

My kiddo, who stands to be harmed by the current Administration, has started to refuse to say the Pledge. Unless a miracle occurs, I fully support him in this and will also stop saying the pledge until it actually means something to my government again.

...should indicate that they want to know *what* is happening, not *why* you think it's so urgent. We're not here for a chat and hand-holding. We're here to get the problem fixed ASAP. You wanna chat, call me and ask me what's up another time when there aren't, say, 100 bees swarming a door.

my new Cricut a test drive... those are all important. But that vest needs some love and a whole bunch of patches and some badges added to it. We're not a super high-achieving troop, but kiddo has done much more than what is reflected on their vest.

And, of course, the Temple of the White Rat issomething I closely identify with. But seriously, I have fully enjoyed every one of her books thus far.

I did a Google search today. It's being reported on The Hill, The Guardian, and CBS News. Aside from that, it's mostly local coverage.

They couldn't handle me telling them I'd reported them for misinformation. Tee hee! I asked if they'd read the Constitution. They blocked me.

I mean, talk about righteous and superior. You're here telling everybody they're wrong and only you know the truth. That's not a good look, BTW. Your diatribe is unhinged at best. Go back to Putin and lick his boots for a while, why don't you? In the meantime, I'm blocking you.

I've read the Constitution. Have you?

The volume of rulings against 47 are not specious. They are directly because of the volume of unconstitutional acts he is committing. He does *not* have a mandate, Constitutional or otherwise. I have reported you for false information.

This is me every time I have to follow through with plans I made... going out with friends, taking my kid to a school event, generally peopling. I always enjoy myself. I'm always glad I went. Overcoming that initial introvert inertia is the hard part.

I vaguely remember Manimal. I don’t remember much other than it was a show and I know we watched it at least a few times, though.

I am especially piss with the Reps who actual voted to have Al Green from TX censured. They, all of them, are now part of the problem.

No, you're right on this. Losin both the House and Senate was disastrous. Unless at least some Republicans decide to do the right thing, there is very little our reps can do in the House and Senate. But I would like to see them speaking out more. Right now, only a handful do that.

Today, I am feeling defeated. Maybe tomorrow I'll have the energy to look for local protests. Right now, I'm overwhelmed.
And please, not looking for advice unless it's a solid date and time for protests in the LA/OC/Riverside areas. Can't make the next 50501 protest. I'm out of personal leave.
