Coming from fish-world, it’s a lot easier when you can use radio and cell vs Argos satellites. Also, photovoltaics vs chunky batteries.
Still, very awesome.

Congrats! I’m part of the leadership for the NSU chapter. Would love to have you swing by the next time you’re in South Florida.

If you burn down a forest, you don't miss out on lumber for just that season. You have to replant all the trees, nurture them, and wait for them to grow.
The science and research budget cuts happening now are wanton, senseless arson. Recovery, if it ever happens, will take generations.

Anyone remotely aware knew that due process for this cabal was an option, not a legal requirement.
It’s part of an intentional testing of legal boundaries, knowing that the courts aren’t pushing back quickly enough to be an effective counter-force.

Don't discount the possibility that it's also part of undermining the traditional justice system from one that's fairly predictable to something subject to executive whims.
(For the record, I'm going Occam's Razor this in the "someone paid him off for the pardons" camp.)

It does indeed create a perverse incentive for Congress to pass lots of funding, then claim impotence when said funding is embargoed. All the more reason for the ongoing Impoundment Act cases to hit the SCOTUS docket ASAP.

A group of individuals with everything to lose nonetheless engaged in a rebellion against the premier global superpower because of ideals. In that heady idealism, I don’t blame them for not anticipating just how crass the American public has since become.

I mean, yes, but it’s incomplete without mentioning the anti-government, anti-collective anything drumbeat from brain-rotting Fox News et al.

Leadership skills aren’t needed when your job is to dismantle the organization for parts and turn the lights out when you’re the last to leave.

It was *never* really about small government or state’s rights. You’ll only be disappointed if you’re looking for intellectual consistency from that crowd.

I’m an Assistant Scoutmaster in my son’s Troop. Getting parents — esp fathers — to step up for leadership or even organizing roles is WAY more difficult than it should be.
