I always appreciate the SARS-CoV-2 virus, mostly because I spent 2 years building analysis tooling around it

Always funny because my partner is pretty bad at recognizing voices, so she'll watch a show for awhile and not realize she's heard that VA before. Then I'll watch it for just a minute and blow her mind every time

That being said, I treat it more like a Google search rather than an "AI"

I use gpt for some side projects, it's pretty useful when you don't know what you don't know and need a place to just get started

I was able to cut mine in half recently by taking a trip and packing a bunch in my suitcase. Not looking forward to dealing with the suitcase now that I'm back..

My pace was fairly slow, but I took 22 minutes off of my time last year (and 8 minutes off of my PB)! I've also got a better idea of how I wanna train for next year

SQL is fine. I personally love it, and I get if you don't like it, but it's literally fine. Learn it and move on, go solve more interesting and pressing problems

The upsides are obvious and enormous; this is how people have been storing and accessing data for decades, there are several competing systems in the space, and the technology is still being improved (I.e. not stagnant)

SQL has some obvious drawbacks, particularly around scaling up and the need for data normalization. But these are very solvable problems
