How long should someone who hung an American flag upside down from 1/20/2021 until 1/20/25 go to jail for, Trump?

You paid too much for that whistle, as Ben Franklin would say.

And the effects of the tariffs, unlike most actions of the Federal Reserve or Congress, have an immediate negative impact on the economy. Interest rates take months to filter through the economy. Tariffs and trade wars main line straight to the blood stream.

And the comparison to Bush isn’t even fair, he inherited the aftermath of the tech wreck and the uncertainty caused by the drawn out 2000 election. Only Trump inherited a clear uptrend and managed to turn it into a major downtrend.

Trump already made deals with several countries, during his first term, that he’s now violating. What’s the incentive to make another? Or if you do, to actually take it seriously? None.

Except you’re looking at it in slow motion, at a convenient angle. That wasn’t how this guy saw it. How he saw it, one second you’re having a hotdog and the next, a big league fly ball is coming right at you. Not slow mo, and you’re middle aged. If he had reached over the railing, different issue.

Except the fan clearly wasn’t trying to be a dick. He’s looking up at the ball with zero awareness of where Trout is at that moment. It’s not like Trout “called him off” the ball. It’s literally why the rule is written the way it is.

And actually, on this particular play, it looks like the ball hit the fan’s bare hand first, which makes it a dead ball before it even hits the glove. No one really mentioned that dimension, because it ultimately didn’t matter.

“Can’t” is an opinion. The rule is a player going into the stands ( which is technically out of play) does so “ at their own risk”. You actually see this with the extended netting to protect the fans. Off the netting is out of play.

“No interference shall be allowed when a fielder reaches over a fence, railing, rope or into a stand to catch a ball. He does so at his own risk.” Yeah!
