Is it possible...and as the kids might say - here me out: Are Americans conflating watching Andor with acts of resistance to their government's actions and deeds. Essentially, watching Andor is the act of resistance. Hence the Nielsens, and the SW fandom going all thoughtful rather than...feral?

I know. Everyone needs to make a living wage. For those of us down South (in the hemisphere), the one cost model works for the North but exchange rates, licensing costs make a paywall - a pay canyon. A 2.99 dollar access cost here in South Africa translates to 3 maybe 4 loaves of a bread.

Yay. Where Science Fiction and Fantasy fiction goes, so does tabletop roleplaying draw inspiration from it (and videogames, and content creation, and television). #DnD

The BBC format. Been acclimated to do this for years, if you're an old ass Gen X (like me). They also had drama shows that were serialised and ran for half hour over weeks, and were NOT soap operas.

I am a sucker for a high concept driven film, and The Core has satisfied a science fiction yearning (for years) NOT driven by Zombie dystopia. Shows for me, like ALL of Star Trek, The Expanse *swoon*, Killjoys *double swoon* and Stargate Atlantis.

I love how the Sandwich topic list at the bottom of the wiki page lists a Spatlo and a Gatsby under Other. Along with a Chip Butty, Chow mein, Ice cream and Bacon, Jelly and Peanut Butter. 🤣

Looks like it's Gauteng-area township culture: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spatlo

I don't live in the US, nor am I a citizen. But has anyone mentioned this: The Posse Comitatus Act is a US federal law which limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States except where authorized by Congress

The Cape Floral Region here, has been targeted for years. King Proteas, Cycads and some of the smaller species have been stolen from our Botanical Gardens and Conservation Parks.

Douche Gardner - I am here for it. Just so that he can be one-punched by Batman at some future date. My money is on Jensen Ackles.
