I will not be returning to Bluesky. Everyone on this website is complicit in bullying, harassment and abuse. I cannot sanction continuing to participate in this website when it is overrun by accounts with 3000 followers who will put words in my mouth and libel me.

Look, I don't want to be mean, because I like his fiction, but Ted Chiang's anti-AI essay in The New Yorker is pure sophistry. His argument boils down to "Art requires intention, and art is only good if it is 'natural'." I don't even like the vast majority of AI art, but it's a poor argument.
