I may very well be accused of lying, but I have no desire to litigate this matter any further. For the sake of my own mental health I am abandoning this account.
Believe whatever you want to believe. I am not a coward. I did nothing wrong.

I am not the first account she has done this to, nor will I be the last.
I will not spend the rest of my time on Bluesky defending myself against accusations of being something I am not.
I am a committed anti-fascist, a socialist, a Marxist, and a trans liberationist.

I expressed an academic interest in the Marxist critique of "rights", in relation to bourgeois democracy.
For this, the account known as Starshine libelled me as a fascist who wrote essays opposing human rights.

I want to make it very clear that I am in favour of trans liberation. I am in no way a supporter of violence against trans people. I am myself trans.
Whatever people have said about me, it is categorically false. I am not a fascist and am insulted by the accusation.

maybe because i don't like my name being dragged through the mud by someone with over 100 times my followers, you stupid fuck?

i also think it's pretty fucking gauche to necro a post where you own someone who left the site a month ago after you epically owned them to your fucking thousands of followers but what do i know?

i should stress for the record that the person i replied to is a Marxist who opposes the notion of "human rights". the concept of human rights is not synonymous with the concept of bodily autonomy, which this person was trying to express, before Starshine bullied her off Bluesky.

actually, i blocked her because of the exact thing she did, which was quote tweet me to sic her followers on me, because she is a crybully with a knack for reading things uncharitably. apparently, this did not dissuade her from attempting it anyway.

lmao, fuck off. i did not say i "argued against human rights". the marxist critique of rights is that rights are not an end in themselves, which is also what the person you responded to was saying. do you genuinely think i, a trans person, am actually opposed to people having bodily autonomy?

I mean, really, I would rather use a comma, a parenthesis, a colon or a semicolon than a dash in any case.

I love that title. So quintessentially Godspeed. People always think of F♯ A♯ ∞ as a bleak album but I have always seen it as hopeful, albeit acknowledging the dire circumstances we are currently living in.

I don't like it the other way. Looks too crowded. I prefer an em dash to be used to ratchet up tension, or when someone is interrupted mid-thought or mid-sentence.

Judge should be disbarred, and this person should be abandoned at sea.

Great book to read: Steering the Craft by Ursula K. Le Guin. Her book encourages you to do the exercises with someone else, or several people, IIRC.

I'm not sure who could play Foyle but I'm leaning towards Alan Ritchson. Dude is huge, obviously, and he can do both intensity (Reacher) and frivolity (Ungentlemanly Warfare).

Part of me keeps entertaining the thought of a Blomkamp "Stars My Destination".

I doubt anyone remembers this but long ago during GamerGate, Ian was briefly a feminist, before switching sides for some arcane reason. I think about this every time I see one of his awful posts.

To draw the conclusion from this that AI art isn't art at all is, to be frank, utter poppycock.
Can we not just say "AI art looks like shit, large TTI models are trained on plagiarised data, and should not be replacing human talent" instead of this navel-gazing bollocks about why AI art isn't art?

On the intention point, AI in itself does not have intention, but the art it produces is the result of intention - that's how training and prompting works.
On the natural point, something isn't good or better because it is "natural" vs something "unnatural". This is first-year philosophy.

Memories of reading the ending of the second(?) TPB in 2015. I was so distraught I didn't go back to it until the pandemic.

Novels are ok. They're a legitimate way to learn how to write short stories.
