I've read most of the analyses of the DOGE 2025 "receipts" site. This, from NPR, is the best I've read so far. Some of what they claim to have cut haven't been cut, other "cuts" will incur costs down the road. NPR says DOGE has made $2B of cuts, not $55B. www.npr.org/2025/02/19/n...

Approximately 20 members of Elon Musk’s staff have begun working within the Education Department. They have gained access to multiple sensitive internal systems, including a financial aid dataset containing the personal information of millions of students enrolled in the federal student aid program.

if we staff ICE with Uvalde police officers, they'll never enter schools

PROP - PR Over Policy. Don't confuse them. He is flooding the zone. He knows that media will cover everything he does. Getting people upset. Which helps give him more coverage of the upset people. All just talking about him. Dems need to be strategic.

I am imposing a 100% tariff on my wife for importing various knick-knacks, baubles, and doohickeys into our home

Here's a piece @ddayen.bsky.social did after Bondi was nominated. So far no question on her role in helping banks get away with mortgage fraud, harming millions of Floridians. prospect.org/justice/2024...

Working on a story about democratic leadership's choice of geriatric congressman Gerry Connolly over AOC to head oversight. If you have any tips about Connolly, text me at 202-510-1268 (I will protect your anonymity). My DM is also open

Bernie Sanders: "We are moving rapidly into an oligarchic form of society. Never before in American history have so few people had so much wealth and so much power." "In Russia, Putin has an oligarchy. We have an oligarchy here, too.

Nancy Mace lied about being assaulted. I keep saying this but she still hasn't sued me for defamation.

United CEO Andrew Witty gave an address to the company today (leaked to me), telling employees "we guard against...unnecessary care" and that "There are very few people in the history of the U. S. healthcare industry who had a bigger positive effect on American healthcare than Brian [Thompson]."

This doctor’s letter to United Heathcare for denying nausea medication to a child on chemotherapy.

“You should not go into debt if you get sick or pursue an education" would be one hell of a rallying cry for the Democratic Party. Currently, they cannot stand for policies that get at the root causes of corporate greed. My latest in ⁦‪@Newsweek‬⁩ ⬇️ www.newsweek.com/democrats-wi...

Slain CEO dumped stock right before DOJ investigation became public. Full story: www.kenklippenstein.com/p/lawsuit-ag...

The widespread rage against health insurance companies that we're seeing this week is a reminder that it coulda been harnessed by Dems in the 2024 campaign, but they deliberately avoided the issue, which appeased their donors & lost them the election.

All jokes aside it's really fucked up to see so many people on here celebrating murder. No one here is the judge of who deserves to live or die. That's the job of the AI algorithm the insurance company designed to maximise profits on your health and no one else

Slain UnitedHealthcare CEO was sued by a firefighters' pension fund in March for insider trading and fraud. The suit alleges he sold $15 million in company stock while failing to disclose a DOJ investigation into the company. Read the lawsuit: www.kenklippenstein.com/p/lawsuit-ag...

No shit murder is bad. The jokes about the United CEO aren’t really about him; they’re about the rapacious healthcare system he personified and which Americans feel deep pain and humiliation about

👍

Democrats spent years saying the economy was “booming” while people struggled to afford rent and groceries. They called it “Bidenomics.” Then they funded a genocide. These two things doomed them electorally. Anyone saying otherwise is simply making noise.
