80% and 145% are basically the same thing - it might as well be 10000%, realistically speaking

It was great to work on these pins with you and I'm so happy with how they came out! :)

Want to just watch the whole thing burn? Uh, do exactly what we're doing here.

Want to bring American manufacturing back? Sure - incentivize American production (see the EV Car credit for a perfect example of how to do that). Give grants to people who want to build new factories or create new American production jobs.

We exist in a global economy and Americans are far better off for
participating in it, and these tariffs are unbelievably destructive to that and to us, and for, frankly, no good reason.

What's wild is that he isn't one of the people using the new super-science bats either, as I understand it

I'm not in Rhode Island so I can't say for sure but I got it from Doctor on Demand and I know they're national (I also don't know how much they cost without insurance)

That's important too though. No Thanksgiving prep for me, but I think we're having people over for board games on Black Friday so I still might need to do some prep this weekend too...

If so they're basically the only player in the social media space that isn't either ads+sold data or premium pricing+sold data.

There almost isn't a service one can look at - every major player in this space is selling your data on top of ad revenue or has some other significant form of income.
Discord maybe?. I guess that sets a maybe-a-baseline-amount of $10ish which sounds probably realistic.

It is an unreasonable amount - I was not seriously suggesting it. I don't think $5 is enough to become profitable and I'm not sure $8 is either - Elon is charging $8 and still selling your personal data to pay the bills (and has money coming in from all of the people seeing ads)

Even at $10/month I think it would be hard to get enough people interested to make this sustainably ad-free.

I mean, if a few million people were willing to pay $20 a month for this service, it could be this way. But if not someone needs to pay for it right?
