Taking the ferry back from Kitsap with a lil PS2 haul

If you see this, share 4 of your favorite games.

My dog is old as dirt at this point (17 going on 18) and her new geriatric habit is sneezing and then audibly farting. Getting old: not a fan

I’m pretty sure the coffee shop at work isn’t diluting their cold brew enough because this 16oz has me feeling like I can see through time

Ok, posting strategy shift: - gonna post more film and retro game content on my SFW account (@roamunit.bsky.social) - this account is going to be less structured, more personal, still not very NSFW but my follows will be Follow if you’d like, keep keeping on otherwise

My criteria for whether or not to buy that new 4k: - How good are the special features? - How sick is the cover? - Is it a brand-new transfer? - Does the cover look good? - Cool cover? - cover cover cover

Getting a notification in late January from my CPAP for a 2024 Wrapped is truly a jumped the shark moment.

Choosing between classic grey and translucent blue here was the most difficult decision I’ve made this year

this cures what ails me every time

Guys I think they got pinball here

I don’t think I’ve ever actually posted mine before, so… boxd.it/13vCL

Me coded characters

Guess I've got to find a local group so that I can play this thing, because it looks like exactly what I want in my burnt-out-on-fiddly-combat current state of being. The few sessions I've played in looser, more collaborative systems are definitely the ones I look back on the most fondly.

Honestly who on earth is settling in to the 9PM screening of The Brutalist. Absolutely unhinged moviegoing decisions being made out here.

Let's watch: some GHOST STORIES FOR CHRISTMAS but it's January

Having a love/hate relationship with the new Indiana Jones. On the one hand: great production values! Punching Nazis! Solving extremely easy puzzles! On the other hand: so many pointless collectibles 🥲

Saw DROWNING BY NUMBERS (1988), first thing I've ever seen by Peter Greenaway, and immediately put three of his other films on my watchlist. So good and surreal and horny and dark, like a loosened-up Wes Anderson or a more coherent David Lynch.

Twitter’s decision to severely limit functionality when trying to look at a tweet/account while not logged in is weird as hell to me. Yeah, okay, bot traffic etc etc but it just makes interacting with the few corporate accounts still on there such a huge fucking pain.

Making good on loose goals to not let foul weather keep me from getting out this winter

New year new(-ly trimmed) beard

Reading a lot lately about the posthumous publication of Harlan Ellison's white whale, THE LAST DANGEROUS VISIONS, a project hitting shelves 50 years late. This is the best of the pieces I've read — an analysis of Harlan, a history of the project, a fan appreciation, and a tour of his wild home.

I’d never heard of km5 before but god this is this best looking piece of kit I’ve seen in a while.

I rarely make it out there because city of neighborhoods etc etc, but Temple Pastries really does have some killer branding.

Happy new year! Since I'm a big ol' nerd, let's do a film thread

Trying to go into 2025 with that Willem Dafoe in Nosferatu energy

Takeaways from viewings this week: - Carry-On works surprisingly well as a Die Hard lite - We’re No Angels is great and I’m not just saying that because young Peter Ustinov was a smoke show - No idea why Tokyo Godfathers is so well-regarded, I found it pretty snoozey

Good news babe, your discs for laser reading systems arrived 😌

Very excited for the VF6 / ITYSL co-branding tie in, such a brave move from Team Ryu Ga Gotoku

Intergalactic really riding that knife’s edge between “hell yeah nostalgia” and “oh fuck this smells like Ready Player One”
