If you want to argue against its authoritarian organization, then by all means go ahead. Don’t mischaracterize their economy and cheapen the word “communism”. McCarthyism makes any good argument look bad.

They’re state capitalist, not communist.

I totally get the sentiment, but let’s stop calling China communist. It’s not productive. They’re state capitalist.

I don’t think it’s productive to look for any poetic meaning in these things. All the concrete evidence is in front of people. It’s a fraudulent company run by a fraudulent individual.

I’ll quote Warren Buffett: “In the short run, the market is a voting machine, but in the long run, it is a weighing machine.” In the short to medium term? Yes. In the long term? You might still be right. This idealism can faulter.

Meta has 5X’d because they rode the hype wave of AI and Robotics. That hype wave is subsiding. Tesla has also severely underdelivered in these areas. “AI/Robotics/Data” is a smoke and mirrors show for them.

Over a long enough period of time it does — with some caveats

If you think it’s a buy, your strategy is delusional and completely divorced from value/fundamentals.

The fact that idiots like these can be “heads of technology research” with a middle school understanding of technology is asinine. #TeslaTakedown #DanIves

Unbelievable bullshit from these clowns

You’re correct that charging stations add value. That good/service doesn’t justify a high P/E; using another proxy (energy sector), its P/E should be sub 20
comment in response to post
It would still be overvalued from a P/E perspective, using the other automotive stocks as a proxy. And no, Tesla isn’t an “AI company”

If you want to cite October 7th as something that triggered this mess, I’ll cite the Nakba. Have a nice day; there’s no point in arguing with you.

Iran is choosing to fund Hamas to fight an oppressive force, while the U.S. is choosing to fund the oppressor. I don’t fault them for that more than I fault the U.S.

Yes I did. Russia is a terrible actor.

In what reality did the Biden administration not aid, abet, and fund a genocide?

You’re blaming ordinary people for the failure of powerful DNC party leaders. If your message is truly “shut up and fall in line” then you’re just MAGA that supports LGBTQ rights. And what approach are you saying would lose? I believe that is working-class-centric populism would have won.
comment in response to post
“Shut up and fall in line” is not a winning strategy for democrats. Again, blaming voters for valid sentiments achieves nothing. If the “complaining” you’re referring to deals with the lack of a primary, the genocide, etc. then you’re dismissing valid criticism. The DNC needs criticism to improve

It’s a bit more complicated than that. A lot of Tesla shares are held in ETFs, Mutual Funds, etc. Don’t get me wrong: Tesla shares SHOULD be liquidated en masse, but banks offloading tons of shares without buyers isn’t something that can be done instantaneously.

You’re not wrong. My comment was about the product.
comment in response to post
Voter blaming is kinda cringe when convincing an individual is meaningless in the grand scheme. Blame democrats who suck at winning elections due to their shitty status quo politics.

A former CIA agent who aligns herself with Liz Cheney shouldn’t be the spotlight of the DNC.

Any target above $150 per share isn’t based in reality

The main issue is quality control. Two Teslas of the same year and model will behave differently

$QQQ is down by like a percent. The S&P by even less. These losses are pretty substantial.
