My joy today comes from realizing that the existence of passive aggressiveness also implies the existence of passive enthusiasm. Basically how Midwesterners act when you apologize for mildly inconvenience them.

Today’s joy comes from knowing that if we are on a precipice of world events, a world that shakes off its imperialism could be waiting at the bottom.

My act of happiness today was saying the word “kumquat” over and over again.
