There should be a service targeted at IoT devices that acts as a transparent interface to Gdrive, AWS, nextcloud etc. You can just drop files there and have it appear in the right place. Then device vendors don't have to roll their own storage or forced customers to register for another service.

One of the major causes of U.K.’s failure to hit any reforestation targets is due to requiring farmers and landowners pay 100% of the costs up front, usually via a bank loan, before government reimburses weeks/months later. This is deranged. There is no reason for this at all.
