Thought The Monkey was a massive disappointment. Kinda low-key hated it. A few fun moments don't make up for much of the film being written and performed on the level of an overly self-aware idiosyncratic Nic Cage performance. Very grating stuff. Nacho Libre's Final Destination

Do I dare call this new Asylum movie a... monkbuster.

THE BAYOU: Okay killer gators flick dragged down by too much lag between gator attacks devoted to generic characters who are smart until they're required to turn dumb, friends until they're required to be hateful, and you better believe there's past trauma to be dealt with. **1/2

Watched Aftermath the way God intended: half asleep at 2AM. One of the most spectacularly stupid things I've seen in ages. Die Hard on a bombed out bridge from the director of Dracula 2000. Dumb hero. Even dumber villains. Terribly entertaining. Woke up having already forgotten most of it. ***/5

Joked about this before but they've done so many reshoots of CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD Disney/Marvel should just pull a CLUE and release multiple different cuts of the film into theaters so you never know which version you're going to see.

Sorry, Captain America: Brave New World, but this is the only Red Hulk I will acknowledge.

In addition to be being a dull slasher that makes little creative use of its gimmick, has hatefully obnoxious characters and a killer whose identity is obvious and motivations are stupid, it was also for some reason shot like a Lifetime Network movie that forgot to pay its electrical bill.

Taylor Swift already drawing up new contracts to break up with Travis Kelce by March and begin dating Shohei Ohtani by August.

MAN'S BEST FRIEND (1993)

This is the most relevant article to NIH and research cuts I’ve seen. Imagine if this was today , how many people would be saying “Why are we studying Gila Monsters and their impact on diabetes ? That’s wasted money !” globalnews.ca/news/9793403...

Disappointed with all the news stories the past few days about some animal picking the Super Bowl winner nobody thought to do the perfect joke of having a zebra pick the winner but its only option is the Kansas City Chief.

PITCH: Die Hard at the Puppy Bowl

MAGIC WARRIORS (1989) Literal balls of fury!

This week: ALL HORROR SHOULD HAVE POLITICAL COMMENTARY! Last Week: YES! THE NEW TOXIC AVENGER FINALLY HAS A RELEASE DATE!

If you haven't watched the Jurassic World: Rebirth trailer yet it's basically an amalgamation of these.

Just going to assume all the people praising the 2005/2007 Fantastic Four films were about 4-7 years old at the time because only blindest of nostalgia could convince you those films were any damn good.

Had been hearing great things about this new adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo and pleased to say they were right. Fantastic swashbuckling thriller that absolutely flies by even at three hours. Just wish a non-dubbed version was currently available to rent. ****

In today's market, this scene would have cost at least $5 million to produce.

It looks like an old school Ultraman monster.

MOUSE OF HORRORS (2025): Art the Mouse and a Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey clone collect body parts at a carnival so their mad scientist daddy can build them a bride. Just 78 mins of almost non-stop kills, ranging from creative to mind-boggling. Nothing here makes any sense nor tries to. WTF/5

I wonder how the Poohniverse people feel knowing the Steamboat Willie slasher Mouse of Horrors has a secondary killer that is quite clearly their Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey? Guess it's now all fair game in the horrors of public domain?

PIGLET (2025) I can forgive the lame script, the weak acting, the poor pacing, and the unhappy flashbacks it gave me to all those terrible homemade direct-to-video slasher flicks Lionsgate used to put out 20 years ago. What I cannot forgive are the bad cgi squibs and blood splattering. Ugh! 1 STAR

This man would have crushed the Nosferatu audition.

Did hell freeze over?

that eagle got mad and embarrassed for getting the bag stuck 😂😂

Just learned there was a board game based on Knight Rider released in Greece that used this amazing image as its cover.

ANATAR (2023): If you're fans of WTF cinema then head over to Tubi and feast your eyes on this Italian "Alan Smithee" hybrid of Howard the Duck and Avatar that defies explanation. A parody, I think. Just without laughs. At the very least, just watch the first 10 mins and ask yourself "but why?"

MARS MEN (1976)

INHUMANOIDS (1986) I promise you will not guess how this clip ends.

INHUMANOIDS (1986) I promise you will not guess how this clip ends.

WOLF MAN (2025) Dir: Leigh Whannell

Already at work on my kaiju slasher flick KING KONG: THE EIGHTH HORROR OF THE WORLD so I'll be ready for 2029. In the meantime, need to finish that Betty Boop/Basic Instinct style erotic thriller for next year.

A few more images from the winter wonderland that is South Mississippi today.

Just another day in-- ***checks notes*** SOUTH MISSISSIPPI?!

Live look at the monstrous cold snap currently sweeping across the United States

Finally caught up with KILL. Certainly lives up to its title. The Raid: Redemption by way of Under Siege 2. Brutal albeit at times a bit repetitive actioner with some impressive close quarters choreography and villains you really want to see experience the film's title.

Temu selling stupid AI poster art or an exclusive first look at Blumhouse's Creature from the Black Lagoon remake?
