The Flying Eagle Cent was America's first small cent, made for a short period from 1856-58. This one was found on a farm in Dresden, Maine, right near Swan Island, where some Eagles nest. These are notoriously hard to find in identifiable condition due to poorer quality copper.

The Zanol Co founded in Cincinnati 1908 by the Mihalovitch brothers was a door-to-door goods distributor that sold a wide variety of products. Similar to Avon, this was a company that empowered women to be able to make their own money. Women weren't even allowed to own property in the US until 1848

This is the single item I have ever spent the most time researching. This is a watch fob from Civil War soldier James Wellman Jr of the Maine 29th Infantry from Waterville. After finding this item a few years ago I tracked down his grave in Chelsea. I will be cleaning the gravestones very soon.
