The post-apocalyptic genre is also a key part of Akira's story, showcasing how society collapses into anarchy and how only people with strength or authority can control survivors. It's also incredible how well the destruction of Neo Tokyo is portrayed and how much it changes.

The underground facilities and sewer system are also a really interesting and complex aspect of Neo-Tokyo, with maze-like sewers connecting every part of the city and hiding many secrets. "Akira" was the first manga to explore the potential of a cyberpunk sprawl's underground system.

Neo Tokyo is a city born from the traumatic experience of Akira's awakening, leading to a massive explosion. 30 years after, Neo Tokyo is a thriving city full of technology, but the government's greed to control an overwhelming power will lead to their destruction once again.

It was a pleasure to attend No Curve's interview by Emilio Cozzi, where they discussed the growth of No Curve's art, the development of the cyberpunk genre throughout the years, the Neon Runners exhibition, and how it is always harder to predict our future with technology developing so fast.

Mutants are chilling creatures that you will encounter as you fight to survive on Nemo Ultra's hostile surface. Once human, these beings of steel have lost their humanity and will try to take yours. These grotesque creatures won't go down easily, so be prepared for a tough fight.

Steel SC37 is a clone created by EdenSys Biotech lab to operate as a scout in the Arctic Tundra outside of the subterranean Eden01 tower. When she completed her mission, she was disfigured and left to die. Little did they know that Steel was alive and determined to get revenge.

In the show, it is explained that small black holes are used somehow to terraform Venus and that Neans operate on this planet to achieve this goal. There should be no reason to terraform this inhospitable planet, but regardless of that, humanity is secretly obliged to do so.

The urban sprawl on Earth represents a seemingly utopian future for our civilization, where technological progress brought by the Visitors, an alien species, has allowed mankind to create androids both to fight off the Usurpers and to aid in the colonisation of the solar system.

Wellstown's Nean community used to be an independent city, where Neans who fought in the war against the Usurpers were allowed to live freely. However, with the return of the Usurpers, Neans were once again forced to serve humans, exposing that their freedom was merely a facade.

Wellstown is the second settlement on Mars we are introduced to. A thriving city of white skyscrapers, a lot of green spaces, and a massive presence of Nean laborers coming from the nearby Nean community. Wellstown highlights the laid-back life of humans compared to Neans.

The story begins on Mars, where mankind's scientific breakthrough made it possible to terraform the deserts of the red planet. We see how humans were able to create a place to call home outside of our home world. Mars is perfect to begin our protagonist's story of emancipation.

After discovering the truth behind the making of Nivalis, you are brought back at full speed into the dangerous streets of Nivalis. You now know too much and are being targeted by a mysterious sect and hunted by someone because of your past. A great finale for Cloudpunk by @calmdowntom.bsky.social

The first part introduces you to Rebel Moon's world and main chast. The second focuses on the rebellion. You find out who murdered the Imperial family and understand why Kora is hunted. The village invasion was cool and the finale was satisfying. A must-watch for sci-fi fans who like space opera.

Amazing artwork, I really like this one.

I want to end this thread by saying that Bandai Namco did a nice job. Synduality Noir's sci-fi world-building and story were done well and the finale fitted perfectly with the story. I love a good sci-fi story and I'm looking forward to more works in Synduality's world.

In Synduality Noir people fight monsters with "Coffins", mechas that can be enhanced and improved to do different tasks. They travel using massive trucks that can carry Coffins, but Ideal also developed an airplane with a similar purpose. Shuttles are used to reach Historia.

Todra Gorge shows perfectly how the desert wastelands of a post-apocalyptic world are unsuitable for human life, yet some people travel there to make some money by excavating minerals. Among these canyons, some small green paradises are still present and preserved by nature.

Fes, "Drifting Maze" is what remains of a once big city. It was used by Ideal to capture drifters that were trying to reach Historia and it shows how the once massive cities built by humans are now uninhabitable ruins. A sad place full of nostalgia used as a trap.

Historia is a space station that stores all data regarding mankind's history and evolution. The computer that controls the whole facility can be used to influence Earth in its entirety as shown in the last episode. By reaching this place Kanata succeeded in achieving his dream.

Amasia used to be the biggest nest built by mankind and the strongest and biggest settlement of the past. Here humanity used to thrive and live peacefully, distant from the dangers of the outside world. Ideal's uprising led to the destruction and abandonment of this place.

Trader Nest is the main trading hub of this world, where for the right price you can buy anything you need if you know where to look for it. This nest is the perfect place to buy and sell objects of any kind, you will always find someone interested in whatever you bring or need.

Satellite Aqua is the acquapark of your dreams and the perfect place to listen to your favorite singer's concert There is no other place better fit for a vacation or to simply relax A unique place that stands out in this post-apocalytptic world as you almost forget of your issues

Baccara Nest is the casino of your post-apocalyptic dreams. Here gambling is something you do daily, whether it is in traditional games such as poker or slot machines, or modern drifter races and battles in the Colosseum. In this place, you are doomed to lose something.

Desire Nest as the name suggests is like a night district. This city full of lust is a place for people to rest and have fun. While it's quite empty during the day, it becomes crowded at night making it quite a peculiar place to rest. It's a place made to catch your attention.

Rock Town is the city where our protagonists live. It's a trading center with a lively market and active nightlife, full of drifters thatmakee a living out of selling scraps. It's bright colours and entertaining life makes it a perfect place for the Kanata and his friends.

Giuseppe Fiducia's figures on the one hand, give a disorientating image of a labyrinthine and obsessive mechanism of thought, on the other hand, they anticipate a kind of anthropological mutation of the human being that is evident in young people Con il passar del tempo (1993-98)

Corridor (2022) This work wants to evoke a sense of a "metaphysical state" with an overlapping of visionary and materially frothy orizons, full of upheavals. The distance between the observer and these horizons ceases to exist when we go to sleep and dream imaginary creations.

Eco e Narciso ( 2017-18), The work alludes to the figure of the opposite, double and reflection. Echo, in love, dreams in vain of the unattainable Narcissus; Narcissus, enamored of his own image, ignores Echo and remains a victim of his fate, as suggested by the torn fragments.
