As an employee of NYC I am not allowed to accept a vendor buying us lunch to eat while they show us a presentation about their products. I'm not allowed to accept a tip from a member of the public. I'm not allowed to accept Yankees tickets that are given away via drawing to anyone attending an event

DOGE lists 1,125 canceled contracts, claiming $7.2 billion in savings—but many were already completed, meaning no money was actually saved. In fact, 417 contracts saved $0, and another 51 added up to less than $1 million.

We don’t have kings in America – and I don’t intend to bend the knee to one.
I am not speaking up in service to my ambitions — but in deference to my obligations.

Until they find the limit. And unfortunately that limit can end up killing people. It luckily hasn't yet, but the starship loss on the platform a couple ago EASILY could have, and this potentially could have as well.

Don't parrot SpaceX's dumb jokey way of referring to a giant explosion. It blew up. Because instead of designing with margins, they cut corners and see if this is what happened.

How will their "cost savings" in cutting red tape be balanced against cost increases caused by graft, corruption, and price gouging? I assume they have no interest in acknowledgement of that fact as the whole point is to allow companies to profit on the backs of the people...
