And they won’t get help from FEMA when their homes are destroyed by storms they didn’t see coming. FAFO

In a year of many bad headlines and framing by the NYT, this made me angriest. Whoever wrote, edited and approved it surely went to a good school of higher Ed with fed grants for great research, and knows better.

Right. Cowards.

Exactly. Trump ran on mass deportation.

Of course there is. A serious effort to stop antisemitism would not ignore anti-Jewish rhetoric and violence on the right or aimed at Dems, trample due process, or use (select) antisemitism as a pretext to grab power over higher ed and stifle all dissent. None of which is ever good for Jews.

And by a president trying to strangle our greatest universities in the name of antisemitism, while claiming to know nothing about the firebombing of the Jewish governor’s house.

❤️ She recorded it for Yad Vashem a few years ago and I put it on YouTube. It still haunts her dreams, more as she gets older.

My grandparents were among them. My mother (101), who was left behind with her two younger sisters, remembers it in vivid detail.

And it’s obvious that Congressional Republicans don’t care either.

Thank you for lifting up the work of Operation Benjamin and for telling the stories of these soldiers so beautifully.

How about regret after a person voted for the guy who was going to lower prices?

The economic pain transcends red state/blue state politics. I welcome anyone who wants to switch course, demand better from their leaders, and vote for sanity at the next opportunity.

Well, yes, but my retirement savings are down comparably.

You said you opposed the budget bill too. Booker showed what spine looks like. This NYS constituent needs to see yours.

I’m with you.

Where’s the ADL???

Absurd of course. But that’s what he tweeted.

Yep! And - adding insult to injury - he’s blaming Biden!

And deliver the best economy…

People tried to explain this is what would happen and lots of voters thought it would be fine to happen to someone else.

Also connected by courage, which is in sadly short supply in party leadership.

Exactly. If he committed a crime, charge him. Otherwise, there are no grounds to deport him. And with a government that will do it, nobody can safely speak their mind.

He’s such a disappointment. A book tour!

Hideous. And if they’re too scared to do their jobs they should resign. I can only imagine the death threats raining on… well, I don’t want to mention names. But we know who is fighting for democracy, unbowed.

They’ll always vote principle when they have cover and it doesn’t affect the outcome.

Yes. And Pete & Jasmine.

And the Holocaust didn’t start with the gas chambers. It started with the roundup and expulsion of Jewish immigrants from Poland, my grandparents among them. German Jews assumed they were safe.

100%. Can’t ignore his intention to reign like a king, for the sole benefit of his Court. C’mon ye Dems I voted for! Don’t just sit there and let this stuff go unchallenged.
comment in response to post
Of course! By the regime’s definition anyone undocumented is here illegally and therefore a criminal. Hideous. It’s like saying anyone who gets a speeding ticket has broken the law so is a criminal.

And the media would cover the meltdown as news, but since Dem leadership doesn’t melt down, or do much of anything, there is silence all around.

This is like McConnell voting against RFK and Tulsi.

Used all the outrage for Kendrick Lamar - you know: “woke.” And Taylor Swift, who gives more to local charities after a single concert than Trump has given in a lifetime.
