The true name for The Ascent was:
-you move to the side of the stairs to let descending group by
-panting for breath on a landing while someone hawks their wares
-an unexpected patch of slick ice, don't fall!
It's called The Ascent because it was sung into the ice starting at the bottom, naturally.

I really like coming up with true names for neighborhoods/landmarks, though this process resonated strongly for me and proved difficult for some in our group.
