Slightly larger tablet makes sketching practice much easier. Wacom has tablets exceeding 30" in size, but at multiple thousands of dollars... nope. I found an older 16" model that shows its age some but still gets the job done.

The gray kitten showed me her belly just a few minutes ago. She was asking for attention. I got a couple small strokes in before she changed her mind. Another step in building trust. It's nice to see some progress.

I found a paper journal for tracking the drawing progress. I think it will help with motivating me to continue. Currently, I am just practicing basic shapes such as squares, triangles, and circles. Half the battle at this point is gaining better control of the pen.

Found a different topic for the cooking Substack: 52recipes.substack.com/p/six-strate...

Cooking ramen doesn't really count as a recipe so not updating the cooking newsletter with that one.

Found some time to update one Substack, anyway: open.substack.com/pub/thejourn...

Have a Cookie in a catbed.

I was just accused of burning ramen. Why? Because the ramen bowl was too hot. And why was it hot? Boiling water, which the directions called for to prepare said ramen. 😡

I spent four hours today going through my 753-book Amazon ebook collection that I have built since 2011. I downloaded 577 of them, but it wouldn't let me download more than 70 of them. It said I needed a Kindle or the app. Thing is, I have both! Made no sense.

We'll see how this goes but plan is butternut squash soup, succotash with polenta, and onion and leek pasta.

Have a Cookie on a blanket.

Tonight's beginning drawing lesson: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz6D.... I appreciate that he says use whatever tools that you have.

I have 17 subscribers between the two newsletters. I'm surprised there are that many!

And for good measure, here is a journaling one: thejournalinglife.substack.com/p/how-to-kee...

I know I'm doing these Substacks wrong with not writing more regularly and monetizing the content and making Amazon stores for affiliate links. But here's the second recipe anyway: 52recipes.substack.com/p/recipe-2-b...
