Whoever decided to have the rave at the Lumen Event center start at the same time as the Sounder game got out had a wonderful sense of humor and no kids 😂

As someone who spends a lot time thinking about the values I want to teach my kid (besides PLEASE DON’T EAT DIRT), the thing I keep coming back to is this: I want him to believe that the strongest, bravest thing he can do is give a shit about other people—especially ones who aren’t like him at all.

Just ran into a kid who played soccer for my team my first year coaching. He’s still playing soccer and that makes me so happy. All I ever wanted for the kids I coached was for them to want to keep playing.
