NEW 🧵 The number of people travelling from Europe to the US in recent weeks has plummeted by as much as 35%, as travellers have cancelled plans in response to Trump’s policies and rhetoric, and horror stories from the border. Story: www.ft.com/content/6dc1...

CorvJenn, my Friend! How’d you like to get that Pulitzer Prize?! My anxiety had been building ahead of the implementation of my transit agency’s first battery electric buses. We’re late to the party relative to our peers, but you’re not even going to believe how fast we’re jumping ahead.

Spot on.

Every day is Christmas for Putin now.

Our United Airlines pilot made sure to emphasize *Mexico* when he said we'd be flying over the Gulf of *Mexico* today. It's the little things. Microdose hope.

Why is Trump speed running towards undermining the mono-polar international rules based order ASAP (that’s barely plausible to anyone)?

LFG* www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news/phoenix... *Peacefully, because Red Team’s move will be to provoke a riot they can overwhelm with theatrical copaganda, blame ANTIFA, sell it on Fox News, NPR will launder it by going to the new middle.

Dr. Phil = Team Coup

1) Donald Trump claimed $50 million was going to Hamas for condoms last week. 2) Today he's claiming it's $100 million. 3) Someone at the WH couldn't read a spreadsheet which said "InGaza" for an AIDS foundation in the Gaza province, get this, in Mozambique. 4) No mention of condoms in the grant

How everyone sane is reacting to Elmo’s BS:

#USAID Why is this NOT a bigger story???

Let’s be clear: what we’re seeing at USAID and across government is an illegal power grab by the unelected billionaire who funded Trump’s campaign. We won’t sit quietly as Trump hands the keys of government to Musk and his billionaire oligarchs.

1) Republicans voted for a lot of the USAID items they now don’t like. 2) The MAGA strategy is to use items they don’t like and attempt to frame all aid in the worst light. 2) Is Trump committed to cutting all aid that goes to helping feed children, help with disease, etc?

About USAID, why it's a target for FOTUS/Musk. •Supporters argue that US assistance in countries counters Russian/Chinese influence. •Americans guess foreign aid is 31% of fed budget. NO! It's <1%. Govt efficiency? Have DOGE look into proposed tax cuts for billionaires! www.pbs.org/newshour/pol...

Absolutely terrifying. This is exactly what is happening:

Focus on the "why" when it comes to the closing of USAID. It's all about corruption. Trump gets to pretend he's saving money to justify his giant tax giveaway to his corporate friends. Musk takes control of foreign policy so he can do favors for China - where he makes his $$.

Musk has as much legal authority to shut down USAID as I do to shut down Tesla, which is to say: none.

At a time of soaring egg prices, the Trump administration shutting off USAID programs that fight the global spread of bird flu is utterly asinine.

I’m sure leaking the social security number of Brenda in accounting at USAID is going to expose that nefarious deep state plot to give food to kids in Rwanda, you garbage Nazi piece of shit.

The newest representative from Maryland came out swinging: Rep. Elfreth: "Elon Musk has called USAID a criminal organization, and yet, he is the one who came in the dark of night in a takeover that is illegal."

Why does China get lighter tariffs than Mexico or Canada? Why is USAID - the agency countering China's global influence - being shut down illegally? Follow the money. Musk and his SV bros will do anything - even pledging allegiance to socialism - to make $$ in China.

By shutting down USAID, DOGE is doing the work of Russia and China at the expense of the United States. It’s dangerous. It’s against America’s interests. Congress must take action to restore the rule of law.
