Yes, but unfortunately true. Every song that requires six string bass Phil guitarises the melody part and Tom plays the root, just how Bernard likes it. Same with Elegia. Thing is you don't need a six for State, can be played on a four string with the right strings on. All about the tone.

Bernard is very happy living his best life with feet up, let's face it he is 69 in six weeks. He's happy messing about with videos and the odd money spinner gig, and his lyrics have been telling us for years he resents working. I don't mind them managing expectations by saying they're not doing owt.

That's the monument to show the enlightenment he brought to the world. Admittedly some places are more grandiose in their recognition, but the council tried to align with his modest origins, hence the slightly wonky bollard that has seen better days. I don't work for the tourist information board 🤣

Always wanted to book a gig at Paradise for January 11th one year and do precisely that. Mind you it was such a crap gig even if sound quality is excellent.
