I do not exactly know the extent of USA. But China has the most powerful propaganda ever and Most restrictive net and media in the world.
Every papers TVs magazines
lyrics movies websites even scholar essays has to be censored and aligned with China gov. I doubt you know nothing about propaganda.

I have journalists friend who criticize China on TikTok and never got promoted and nobody views. but if they say something “normal” or praise China, the content would be promoted. you need understanding the algorithm.

And I can tell you something funny. Tiktok is Chinese company and native Chinese is not allowed to use it. Chinese can only use douyin(chinese version) which is most heavily censored.
