Kids, My birthday isn’t coming up for a bit. If you want to really want to impress me, just: 1. Tell me how much peanut butter or ramen (or whatever) you sent to the food bank. 2. Send me the name of the Palestinian aid org to which you donated. 3. The vintage Gonzo Pez dispenser (I’m only human)

This is just ridiculous!

Hi kiddos Keep your big picture in mind. Don’t get bogged down by details. Keep learning animation to make funny, informative videos about demolishing the capitalist heteropatriarchy! Try to avoid lying in bed at 2AM thinking, “how do I add depth to that background?” You might have work at 6:30

Hey kids, In case my advice seemed too self congratulatory. I will now admit that, since last posting about phone addiction: Doom scrolled for 37 minutes. Steamed Busta Rhymes’ fastest raps Researched where to put the apostrophe in “Busta Rhymes’” Keep fighting, one day at a time.

Kids, I cannot express this enough. I also appreciate the irony of saying this online. Please put down the phone. It’s an addiction. Try to turn that energy we spend on consuming content into creation. Our phones are addictive. I have to work hard to put mine down.

We should not be shaming anyone for what they buy right now. We don't know the battles they're fighting. "Carleton University economics professor Frances Woolley noted more than a quarter of youth aged 25-34 are food insecure already."

When I decided I needed to fight back against the powers that be, I realized I didn’t know where to start. Lots of advice online, but no idea of what’s working. Sharing the advice I give to my own kids, and documenting what I’ve learned in real time, is therapeutic. I hope it helps you

Kids, Tip of the day Keep making someone’s life better. Even if it’s just yours right now. Remember who you protest and boycott for. Make it a source of pride. Make it fun. Keeps burnout at bay. And if you can’t boycott where you shop, that’s understandable. Consumer choice is a privilege.

Hello all, My dad called my kids “free range children” because I had very few rules for them as they grew up besides asking them to be honest, kind and hard-working: 1. Don’t take anything that isn’t yours. 2. You can wander, just don’t lose sight of us. 3. Have fun. (4. Don’t lick the displays)

Kiddos, You know how proud I am of my work as a nurse. Nursing care is, fundamentally, the management of symptoms relating to underlying problems Palliative care focuses on comfort and dignity, even if no cure is available I’ve decided to apply this logic to everything I do. Until we fix us.

Hey kids, Tough love time I remember when I was a kid I was taught America was bringing peace and freedom to the world through democracy. We weren’t the good guys. We’re the rich bully Most of world watches us, hoping we might do the right thing for once. And they wont hold their breath.

Hey friends, Not sure how to fight the system? Mutual aid can help build a strong, self-reliant community. I recommend you look it up. You don’t have to organize an entire neighborhood at once. TODAY: Introduce yourself to a neighbor. OR Find a neighbor you know and ask if they need any help.

Hey kids Hope you slept well. I know you have a big heart and the world gets heavy. I wanted to remind you that you can make the world a better place Shoe some unconditional love. It’s challenging. But it works Start with yourself. It can be tough. Keep trying. If you need help, I love you too.

Dear kids, Some days are going to be a white knuckle ride. Your anxiety isn’t irrational. Things are pretty messed up. Just because life wasn’t pretty doesn’t mean it wasn’t a success. You made it. Wake up tomorrow and try again. Try to make tomorrow better for somebody. Even if it’s just you.

Hey, kiddos, Bonus lessons: 1. Raise other voices. Use your platform to help amplify the wise words of others. 2. Always do your research and cite your sources. I used a cropped image of the original. The unedited art appears to be credited to werise_la. 3. Ask for help. How do I edit a post?

Ok, kids. I’ll start my parental advice with tough love. I know you’re scared, angry and vulnerable. But we’re late to the party. We only notice the fascism now because the oppression affects us personally. We need to make some changes. And we need to start with ourselves. Let’s get to work.

I get this sort of thing occasionally when I talk about resisting tyranny with empathy, love, and care. So for future reference: I use these words less in a literary/colloquial sense and more in a "I study animal parental care," a "parents caring for their babies will maul threats to death" sense.

Dear Canada, I know I’m not as cool as Minnesota, but I also have maple syrup, brutal winters and hockey. I don’t have to be a province - I’d settle for territory status. Love what you do with healthcare! Sincerely, Wisconsin PS: PLEASE Ignore my 2024 election results. I was drunk again.

okay so if you are interested you can make it hard for tesla to serve its actual customers by scheduling a bunch of fake test drives tesla.com/drive as of my posting this you do not need to verify your appointment by email or text message, but if you have burners set up already, string them along.
