The New York Times can’t stop doing puff pieces on fascists.

Lawyers for Luigi Mangione asked a federal court on Friday to bar prosecutors from seeking the death penalty against him, arguing that Attorney General Pam Bondi’s recently announced decision to do so was “explicitly and unapologetically political.”

An innocent man, picked up by “mistake,” must not be allowed to rot in an El Salvadorian jail. Mr. President. Obey the courts. Obey our Constitution. Bring him home immediately.

The President of the United States engaged in insider trading, and laughed about it. He is not exempt from the law. Where the fuck is Congress?

weird, what could explain this

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) says it's "not realistic" to rule out cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Trump defying a court order. This is a crucial moment on the road to (or from) authoritarianism. Here we go.

Yesterday, Republicans passed a so-called “budget” resolution that would gut Medicaid, SNAP, veterans’ benefits, and free school lunches. Let me break down what that means for my people in TX-30: 🧵 (1/4)

BREAKING: Six people have died in a helicopter crash in the Hudson River in New York City, an AP source says.

The 500 richest people in the world added $304B to their combined net worth yesterday after Trump's tariff pause. Meanwhile, retirees, small businesses, and workers are still reeling from the mess. Trump's actions feel chaotic until you see who really comes out on top.

BREAKING: The House passed a GOP bill to require proof of U.S. citizenship for voting, a Trump priority. Its fate is uncertain in Senate.

Today, we’re voting on what Republicans are calling the “SAVE Act”—but let’s be real, it’s a straight-up voter suppression bill. They are literally trying to make it harder for millions of Americans to exercise their right to vote. I’m voting NO—hell no, actually.

The upward redistribution of wealth over the past 50 years has shifted $80 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans to the top 1%.  That’s $80 trillion that would have gone into the paychecks of the working class. The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

SpaceX just landed a $5.92B contract with the Pentagon for Space Force rocket launches — the largest contract among the three firms who secured deals to send satellites into orbit. While DOGE cuts essential services for you, Musk is getting a taxpayer-funded windfall. Hello?

They are going to deport American citizens. Period. The. End. 🤬

It’s clear: Trump and Musk want to make it harder and harder for the elderly and disabled to utilize Social Security. They don’t care how much pain they cause. Their ultimate goal is to make Social Security dysfunctional, to privatize it and to let Wall Street take it over.

Here’s the real reason why DOGE is gutting the IRS. (Hint: it has nothing to do with “efficiency.”)

Raskin: He destroyed more than $10 trillion in American wealth in a single week. And then he went golfing and bragged to America about winning the tournament at his own golf course. That's like bragging about being endorsed by your own campaign manager. So much winning

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

“A top Goldman Sachs executive summed up the frustration with Mr. Trump succinctly: Someone has to stop him.” www.nytimes.com/2025/04/06/b...

u could have done that in november sir

This has always been the GOP's strategy: 1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves. 2) Explode the deficit. 3) Demand cuts to vital programs that help millions. 4) Repeat. They're trying to get away with it again.

“A private security force that is exercising the power of the marshals…you have to start worrying about whether they are acting in the public interest and whether they understand the rules that apply to the marshals.”

HE’S TALKING ABOUT HIS F*CKING GOLF GAME AS AMERICANS ARE LOSING EVERYTHING

Bankrupt running a casino. Pause in awe for a minute and absorb the enormity of that then marvel at the speed and efficiency with which the wealthiest and most influential country on earth has been dismantled to be sold for parts. #OrangeMonday

Being able to heat your home in the winter is not a luxury. It is a matter of life and death. Trump and Musk’s decision to arbitrarily fire every worker in the office that helps working class and low income people heat their homes is outrageous.

Trump's tariffs aren't designed to help you — they're meant to make rich people even richer.

This!

True ✅

The economy is in free fall. The markets are collapsing. Our soldiers are dying. Our sensitive information is being leaked over text message and gmail. Random people are being kidnapped and sent to foreign torture prisons. And Trump is fucking golfing.

THIS ARTICLE SHOULD BE FRONT PAGE PROMINENT @nytimes.com❗ www.nytimes.com/2025/04/05/u...

apnews.com/article/trum... Trump’s out here swinging golf clubs while folks are in the streets fighting back. Voter suppression, wild tariffs, & straight-up disrespect for democracy—Folks are fed up, Trump & Elon. #HandsOff

I asked the one high ranking policeman I saw on 5th Ave why there were so few police. He said “We did not expect anything like this. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve only got 44 officers out here — and it’s a great crowd, great event, no incidents.”

As markets melt down around the world, Congress could act right now to prevent an economic collapse before markets open on Monday. The only thing standing in the way is a few spineless Republicans.
