The team at Complexly did so much RIDICULOUSLY GOOD STUFF in 2024. I mostly stepped down from leadership and in that time: 🧵

🌍 Disillusioned? We face challenges like climate change, pandemics and space exploration. Science communicators, your role is more important than ever! Can we reignite idealism & inspire with science? Share stories and ideas to create a brighter future. #ScienceInspires #GlobalChallenges #SciComm

🔥 In a world facing immense challenges, disillusionment isn’t an option. We need idealists to rise and lead us towards a brighter future. Let’s make idealism epic again and inspire the next generation! #Idealism #FutureGenerations #GlobalProblems

🚨Critical issue! Report: Science Misinformation, Its Origins and Impacts www.nationalacademies.org/news/2024/12... Evidence clear: "exposure to misinformation about science may lead to misbeliefs which, in turn, have the potential for causing harm at the individual & collective levels..."

Pandemics, climate change, inequality, war… These are the epic battles of our time. Where are the idealists to lead the charge? Let’s revive idealism and inspire action! #Idealism #GlobalChallenges

Yep, #VaccinesWork Peter Hotez: "Covid mortality rates. No surprises: Well-vaccinated Northern European nations, Canada, Northern U.S. had lowest mortality; less vaccinated Southern U.S. fared worse; poorly vaccinated regions Africa, Russia the worst." See www.healthdata.org/research-ana...

@johngreensbluesky.bsky.social as an advocate for #GlobalHealth, what improvements to Global Governance would you like to see? What competences should states pool to make the health of everybody better? And why are we not doing that? ❤ #OneHealth #GlobalGovernance #Activism #SystemsThinking

@hankgreen.bsky.social why is it that when there is talk about a global market no one bats an eye, but when I talk about global governance everyone is suddenly suspicious?

@hankgreen.bsky.social In your last video you remind us how bad we are at caring about others (be they someone elsewhere in the world or from coming generations). But we do care about people we've never seen as long as they are part of our "tribe". Why is there a limit? Why no "global tribe"?

Study: higher levels of CO2 increase survival of viruses in the air and transmission risk--not an issue for indoor ventilation but for climate change as well. 🛟🧪

Pretend play has an important role in both exploration and evaluation for children. Make-believe play is a creative medium, important to the development and practicing of those capacities. Guess that might also be the case at older ages. Your excuse to join a TTRPG group. 🧪 doi.org/10.1177/0959...
