It’s on my list and I’m working on it, albeit slowly. There’s quite a bit of converting required, and other stuff keeps taking priority. But I will get there.

I think you’re right, although Darwin did mention [Descent of Man] male cassowaries looking after the young, while the females exhibit ‘a most pugnacious disposition’ during the breeding season, with their wattles becoming more brightly coloured.

I make extensive use of the obsidian.md app for my detailed notes. I've also created a dedicated note for each chapter of the book. Obsidian has a charting plugin called 'Canvas' which I'm using to draw arrows etc. between my chapter notes. (Narrative arcs are not my scene; I prefer narrative webs!)
