I'm about to drop a piece at The Atlantic on this Pentagon purge. As I warned, Trump is capturing Justice, Intelligence, the military. This is praetorianism, pure and simple.

Knowing what we know now, about the demographics, about the vibes ™, about the disinformation, IF Chris Christie, Nicki Haley, and Mike Pence had spoken at the DNC convention & acted as surrogates for Kamala Harris, does she win? It's impossible to prove a counterfactual but I'm not sure she does.

“the United States is not a startup. The federal government exists to do all of the things that are definitionally not profitable, that serve the public good rather than protect investor profits. (The vast majority of startups also fail, something the United States cannot afford to do.)”

REVEALED: we identified the operator of an overtly racist X account, "GlomarResponder," as ICE Assistant Chief Counsel James Rodden, based on an overwhelming number of biographical details matched through publicly available documents, other social media activity, and courtroom observation.

Regrettably I think there is a strong chance this loathsome unamerican creep will keep his job. Keeping him is a flex, like rehiring the “normalize Indian hate” guy was. They are steadily dragging the Overton window to allow more overt white nationalism and racism.

I would make so much more money if I was not sadly afflicted with the ability to feel shame, it's unfortunate really

the policy-meme gap: when you post a lot of MONEY FOR VETERANS, NOT REFUGEES memes and then fire disabled veterans from the Bronx VA

NEW: Three former U.S. Attorneys ask to file a brief in Eric Adams' case before Judge Dale Ho "in support of the Court’s authority to conduct a factual inquiry" into DOJ's actions leading to its Friday request to dismiss the case. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

One of the greatest tricks that Donald Trump and Elon Musk ever pulled is to convince millions of people that DOGE is about government efficiency. It's about narcissistic, resentful destruction: The Death of Government Expertise. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

If you’ve ever taken the oath to uphold the Constitution, this is the time to live up to it.

Me and the Mrs. and the cats. Happy Valentine's!

It's getting tiring to keep saying this, but for posterity's sake I will: any previous administration would have been instantly sunk by this. Before January 20, 2017, this would have been the most stunning corruption scandal in the history of the American justice system. Now, it's...a Thursday.

This is what integrity looks like: www.nytimes.com/2025/02/13/n...

Just so you know, Canadian fans are basically booing every instance of the American national anthem being sung to the point that ESPN is now muting broadcasts to silence them.

The legacy media was quick to defend Fox in 2009 when it thought Obama was being mean. Today with the AP? Crickets. The difference is that media orgs knew they had nothing to fear from Obama, so protesting was free. Making a stink over the AP today might actually cost them something.

Pitchers and catchers report today! LFG! ⚾⚾⚾

My frustration about MG Donahoe's treatment and the Army's aversion to social media engagement when it comes to displays of the Army Values was reflected in my comments. If we want the Army to do better, we need to explain it through things like this so the powers that be can clue in.

I just filled out a survey regarding the Army's use of social media and how it could be better and recalled the MG Donahoe episode of 2022. I am now irrationally angry.

"People who like to sound tough reflexively back the guys with guns over the guys in jeans with sacks of grain or the guys in suits with papers. But take it from someone who spent nearly 1,500 days downrange over the course of 20 years: USAID is worth every penny." www.thebulwark.com/p/usaid-kept...

Pitchers and catchers report Thursday!

Maybe 17 beers and 13,000 calories worth of spinach and artichoke dip will help me feel better about the world
