Somebody needs to do a piece explaining why forensic audits because so popular among the uneducated right. Remember, they also demanded one on the Az vote.

Why are we paying 10s of millions to 19 year olds to do a forensic audit when they have no training in one? Seems like waste, fraud, and abuse.

Also, if you were a cocky 21 year old Ayn Rand devotee with an epic case of Dunning-Kruger who grew up in a rich family and had never experienced hardship in your life, it’s hard to see what you’d do differently.

Resignations en-mass by respected career attorneys sends a signal that a trickle of resignations quietly — which wouldn’t be news worthy — would never send. And they do have a duty to their client so sticking around to subvert is unethical.

DOJ is acting like if they’re vindicated on the merits of on appeal, it washes away the violation of the TRO. It’s weird.

It’s a good Doggie that it became a component of EOP. Otherwise if it were still under OPM it would have to advise itself and OPM on a 75% RIF plan? Bad Doggie.

Exactly. I don’t think it’s too much to ask federal employees file returns as required by law. I do wonder how FTI would be available to agencies to check.

Dem leadership seems to think if they just wait around long enough voters will return to them. But state capacity isn’t a partisan issue and if one party wants to raze the federal government to the ground every four to eight years, there will be no state capacity for the next administration.

Your skeets may be conflating a return with a refund. But a return and refund in the tax world are two different things.

You have two things. A return and payments. Payments are usually quarterly or through W2 withholding. If you file your return and it is accepted after April 15, you are late unless you filed an extension with a final estimated payment and it was accepted on or before April 15.

Filing late is different than filing for an extension.

Maybe the doge lawyers, former Supreme Court clerks, will begin to push that limit soon. The court orders, to date, haven’t affected plans or timelines. They are just TROs.
